Ok...I have this friend that has come up with his own style of growing. I am not sure if there is a name for it so I have dubed it "JOG" style.....or "Jungle of Green". Having grown such fine herb just recently with limited space...I thought I might study his work in hopes of bettering my own grow. When I saw the growth difference in between 5 days I was amazed! I think he has inspired me to have a go at this new radical style of his! I have some clones coming along that will become....."JOGGERS"...... From this.... To this in 5 days!.... And only 5 more!.... This man is destined to become a great grower....PtKo...good on the JOG! That's sweet as....
That's some serious growth Herb, I don't blame you for wanting to emulate the new style. What kind of light are being used for those two, and are they one per pot? And I'm interested to know the strain. I'm on the look out for some branchy strains, instead of the lanky Sativas I been growing.
That is not my grow. That is PutTheKnivesOn's grow. Under a 400Hps I believe. One plant per pot too. I will try it out on a couple clones I have going and see if I can get the same results.
Yup ,Lots of training on a daily basis, Superthrive with every water and my earth juice organic ferts. Im using the 430w, and in the pictures above was no more than 6 inches from the light, thank god i have a heatsheild which works great. To tie them down i used Cantenary wire, which is plastic coated wire used for supporting cable when strung across ceilings. I fashioned them into pegs with a hook, and just poked them in the soil using the hook to pull the branch down to about 1cm above the soil. I directed them away from each other so as to give the new growing tips their own space. Once these tips reached the edge of the pot, under the 400w they went and whammo, the loved it as you can see. Because of their size i had raised them closer to the light as my light is in a fixed position, but now i have lowered them to their resting place for the remainder of their growing life. The next 2 weeks will be when youll see the buds explode into life, I cant wait. Today is day 43, Photo hot off the press. Getting kudos from an experienced grower like Herb has made my day, so i must be doing something right! Cheers Herb!
Hey PutTheKnivesOn can you please post a pic of your heat shield? You've described it to me before, but I need to see it to understand it. Thanks. And by the way man those plants look so fuckin nice. Are they the same strain only clones or a new strain? ...I forgot.
No probs Tape, just before sunrise when my light goes on ill snap a pic for you, its a bit blinding when its on! They are clones from the previous grow, so i know what to expect. The Gk garden i have is a great cross reference, allowing me to remember and compare stages. Good thing i kept it organised! Seems i fixed my yellowing leaves problem i had in the last grow, i was using too much water. I was watering every two days, 1 litre at at time last time, and this time once a week and i give them two litres. I upped my pot size from 2 gallons to 3 and using superthrive from the start, and not just the last half of flowering like i did.. Other than those things i have done no differently except the training. How are you getting on now tape, you been having better luck? (Edited by PutTheKnivesOn at 5:13 pm on Sep. 21, 2002)
Hers the pictures of my heatsheild TaPe. and here when shes on her way to cranking, and enough for a pic. Im actually thinking of taking it off now my plants are further away... tomorrows misson.
Does that lower the intensity or the lumens of your light? Or does it just plainly block heat and that's it? Is it just a metal piece with holes in it and does the degree of the bend matter? And does it work well? Because it seems interesting to try.
It works very well, i can put my hand directly under it with no problems. I guess you would lose a few lumens, but the fact your plants get closer makes up for it. It is just a metal piece with holes in it, and the angle i guess wouldnt matter too much as long as there is some. The instructions were to keep it about 1 inch parallel to the light.
So basically all you've done here is train them often, and use lots of superthrive, and put you 430w light very close? how many plants per pot? they look amazing, and the growth rate is exceptional! how exactly are you achieving these awesome results i am soooo curious to know, i have almost the exact same setup, I even have my Hottub thermometer!!! help a fellow grower in need of knowledge PTKO! Knives....I made you into a teacher now, you were ready though. Seems like yesterday you were asking some of these same Q's. "You have caught fly with chopsticks" (no relation to Chop) "Now you must teach what you have learned Grasshopper"....
hehe i suppose also the fact that ive been coming here almost every day for 3 months has rubbed off a little... I dont know what else i can say Rastafari love, its all in my GK garden, maybe i got lucky with the strain. One plant per pot, i should try and get a shot of the trunk and branches, but at the moment it is pretty hard to see, but when the leaves drop off towards the end the picture will become clearer. I even find it hard to tell which is the main cola!
HOLY MARY MOTHER!!! ONE PLANT EACH!!!! I'd say you got a really awesome strain! I wish i could get my hands on some of those clones! man i am bout to start a garden just like yours, im gonna check yours out too! RIGHT NOW!! haha thanks alot guys you are the masters of the universe!! haha Pz and Love Yall
Knives, how long have you been training them clones before you put them under the HPS? and where they trained under floros? if so what wattage?
