so we got a closet cfl grow in a file storage box in miracle-gro african violet potting soil. turning out quite nicely on 24-0. pics soon.
jordan and marion grow a ganj plant How are you guys @ making a porno?? :kidding: Looking forward to your pics, kali! Grow on! otleaf: otleaf:otleaf:
finally got a couple pics. here's the setup, yes i know its a bit elementary but i tell you its working thus far. and we're not going for anything too elaborate: Day 8 under 24-0 of 3 26w CFLs: and now day 12, coming along nicely for a home depot setup, haha: dont mind the one in the back...
sorry didnt realize they were so large, figures the cam phone would no have the reso.. anyway, my apologies
Update Hit up Atlantis Hydroponics And picked up some FoxFarm Happy Frog Soil and Grow Big Nutes. Still runnin 24-0. soon to switch to 18-6. think we're ready? here we are at 16 days, ready to transplant to a bigger pot: just waiting to upgrade. Post Op lookin good Any comments or suggestions appreciated, thanks all.
Looks pretty good. 18/6 and 24/0 are basically the same thing...a veg light schedule. When you are ready to flower, you want to switch to 12/12. Are you planning on using a different light for flowering? I ask because with what you have there, the result may not be all you expected. You need a LOT more light. Good Luck
haha yeah man, i appreciate the info. but im aware of my light cycles. when we go to flower we're goin to HPS but til then its all CFL. cant wait to get this under some HID but the budget restrains, and she's doin her thing pretty well otherwise. anyway thanks for the advice, bud. hopefully have some dankness to show ya in the future
haha yeah buddy. The one in the back is the same age, different bagseed. dont know what the deal is, probably just gonna toss it.
ok so here we are a 6 weeks later...alright guys and girls we're back after a brief hiatus. alot has happened in this amount of time. we've since transplanted to a larger container, switched to 12/12, began feeding her fox farm big bloom, upgraded two of the 26w with 42w warm whites- no HPS yet but beginning to see some tasty looking bud growth. we've been struggling with inconsistent temps ranging from high 70s to mid 60s. all in all the plant still seems pretty happy.pics are from about 5 days ago, will post freshies soon. anyway im a bit concerned about the amount of light being blocked by the fan leaves. what would be the best solution, or should we just let it do its thing? thanks! /monthly_2009_01/bd.jpg.3b5dbd506ea507860ba7164e5e4150a5.jpg /monthly_2009_01/bd4.jpg.75ae8d943a5d293b333a6f00fa419d7f.jpg /monthly_2009_01/bd2.jpg.4cf1286799b348b04324917e4b19ea3d.jpg /monthly_2009_01/bd3.jpg.96e037c9ce7b61ac16bc1ceea522034a.jpg
Looking real good! I would say add some supplemental lighting on the sides. If u can get that HPS that would be great.. But since u only have one plant it would kinda be a waste to get an HPS. I would say just stay with the CFL, through the entirety of this grow.. Once u got an idea of what your doing, get some better genetics and upgrade your light.. Gfam
plant looks great! mylar would help maximize your CFLs. What wattage HPS are we talking about here? HPS usually penetrates nicely, esp combined with Mylar., but if it's like a 70 watt, it may be more cost effective to just add another CFL, or move the one you have down to shine on the undergrowth and put a larger 150 watt CFL up top.
Have you cloned that plant? If not do it now. The pics dont look as if the plant is mature. It will yeild but if you clone it the next yeild willl be alot bigger and nicer!
