Here's some pics of a little trip my wife and I took down to the keys. We spent the first few days in Key West. We loved it. We've been there before but only for a day or two, this time we got to do alot of stuff. If we could afford it I would move there in a heartbeat, but a decent 2 bedroom house is 400k -500k. Too bad. Yesterday we went up to marathon and chartered a fishing boat. Today we are having a big fish dinner at the house This is the sunset from Key West Heading out into the gulf in search of dinner for the next few days My wife and I with some of our catches All of our kills. 2 Amber Jacks and 4 Mutton Snappers. mmmm'
Now that looks like fun. I have allways wanted take a trip to the keys to try my hand at Tarpon fishing on fly tackle.
Awesome Smarmy. That looks like Garrison Bight Marina you rolled out of. Love the pics..thanks so much cheers,
Nice photos!!! Looks like a little slice of heaven out there. Looks like you both got plenty of sun!!!! OUCH! GOOD CATCH!
Damn Smarmy that brings back memories looks like you had a great time.I was in Marathon in 1980 we rented a boat & went snorkeling at the coral reefs out in the ocean .The water was crystal clear Thanks for sharing your pictures.
Definitely not, yellowfin get pretty big. Smarmy, nice pictures man. Key west is beautiful. Wish I could go there more often. So the housing in Miami somewhat reasonable if you don't try and get beach front property right? I know last time I was there I say some lots I think that were maybe 1/2 acre or so and were going for like $13 million or some shit just for the lot. But that was on Palm island.
Smarmy....love love the pics and thanks for sharing!!! My godmother lives in Ft. Myers so been to the Keys and many other fishing trips down there and up and down this east coast. Those are some gorgeous shots of the sunset and wow the fish you guys caught....yummy!! I go out on boats here for stripers, fluke and bluefish this time of year. Love Red snapper.....ooo and also love to fish for snook when I went to Fla. Yah Skunky, yellow fin tuna are HUGE....we caught them down in OutterBanks NC and wow you have to use some muscle when your fishing for them. Never caught a marlin>>>always wanted to so that is on my to do list. Have caught a swordfish once and omg I was so excited but LOL my bro had to help me bring it in...haha. Wow....best as I could talk fishing all day. My fave past time and also food to eat. Thanks for sharing....just lovely!!!
Love the sun set but can't help noticing the bike that is in the second photo...can somebody esplain? The one in the little raft. Good idea for that fish is to gut it and throw some rosemary and butter, garlic salt pepper in the middle and grill in tinfoil. Just a idea.
The dudes with the bike were some beach bums who were trying to make it to the island you see in the rightof the 3rd pic. they were wasted and that was them returning about 20 minutes later. yeah the fish is not a tuna it's an amber jack, good eatin still
