I'm asking for help identifying my plants problem. Can't find anything that looks like this in any of the plant problem guides. Using a CFL warm, 125 watts. I'm using soil, generic from Home Depot. I've added nothing to the soil. 6" pot. Using RO water. Ph of soil is good, also adjust Ph of water after mixing nutrients and every few days. During Veg I used Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow 3-1.5-4 according to instructions. Vegged for almost 9 weeks. Using the Pro Boom 2.5-2-5 now, has flowered for almost 5 weeks. Also using Grotek Cal Max 2-0-0 has cal, mag and iron. Was topped 3 times during veg. Have had a gnat problem the entire time. Temp has been around 80 F, sometimes up to 85. I have flushed once a month. I've included some pictures. The first picture shows how it started with blotches on th leafs. The next two show discoloration, reddish brown between veins and more towards the middle of the leaf. Then curling down and turning brown. That is the current condition, picture one problem seems to have gone away. Seems to be affecting mainly the upper part of the plant, just below the tops. Any help would be appreciated. prob1.jpg

Ok, for starters it is "normal" for your leaves to be yellowing and falling off while flowering, especially 5 weeks into flower. I had a gnat problem from the start of my current grow, which I have taken care of using Safer Garden insecticide soap. It only took two applications and they are history, just follow the instructions on the bottle (this stuff you can use safely right up to the day of harvest). I had gnats in the soil that I was using, staight outta the bag, what a bitch!! I waited thinking that they were going to go away, but they multiplied like crazy! The shit part about gnats is that they feed on the roots, which makes it extremely difficult for the plant to recieve it's nutes. Plus I would imagine that the plant is in somewhat of a shock all the time, with the root system being comprimised. GET RID OF THOSE GNATS!!! The damage will not rejuvinate, so primarily just the new growth/budding will show signs of being healthier. As far as the leaves and such that are damaged; they are not doing the plant any good anymore, so remove them so the plants can focus their energy on new growth of fat buds! Hope this helps.

You need to be in a bigger pot. The roots are strangling their selves. Second of all the gnats have more than likely reeked havoc on the roots as well. Get some sticky traps for the adults and let the soil dry out real good and that should kill the larvae.
