LOL I typically don't. But I've used it I'm the past. It was $15 and the best thing they had. Everything else was like the bontanicare zho and stuff. I got it to correct this problem. So I removed the slime and cleaned like Friday. Though this time not going to give that nasty little opportunistic jerk a chance to thrive in absence of other micros. Figuered I could also try a bucket with great white to see if an innoculated res is more stable.

Wow, that really sucks. I knock on wood that I have gone these last couple of years without having to deal with slime. At least you could save them by putting in coco. You should only lose about a week for them to recover. Good luck on hitting your goal.

Ehh is what it is, it will all be fine. More frustrating than anything. Just goes to show you always be prepared. Has been 5-6 years since I've seen slime. Other than that rot initially which I expected just didn't expect the light leaking through to be as bad as it was. My fault for not testing. but after that I didn't expect a cyano take over. That shit is way harder to clear up. Dwc seem to be the only system I've had That issue with though. So I suppose its more prone due to constant root and water exposure.

Yeah, I've lost 2 plants in DWC buckets in the last 3 weeks. I noticed the slightest bit of slime and switched the res out. Gave the recommended H2O2 and let it stand for an hour + with the air stone going then replaced the plant. Next day it was bad looking so I replace the water with clean Ph'd but neither one recovered. Never showed the first sign of trying to come back.

Don't know whether to blame the slime or the H2O2. I've topped off the res and added H2O2 in the tables right after they drained and never had a problem. But then the roots didn't come into contact with the new water for 3 hours.

But if 1 in 3 of my DWC buckets are going to croak on me I'll have to reconsider that method.

That sucks cg. Yeah the two I had get infected thankfully I was able to save. They are in coco and doing fine now. Using the same nutes too.... LOL someone told me on rui that they quit using cannazyme and rhizo in dwc that it Just made more issues. Also they noticed those two went bad sometimes before expiration of its shelf life. Interestingly enough I had just bought and opened a new bottle of rhizo. It is a Brown algae derived product do who knows. All I know is I'll try another bucket but that's really about the easiest system for a small closet. Want tables but don't want to worry about ruining some walls for flooring if it goes bad. If I can't get the dwc to be more consistent I'll just stick with coco. Actually more I think about it coco is the best option. Easy and not near as many issues. Biggest issue would be leaving the house for an extended period of time. But if that's the case I can always setup and test an auto watering system. Eh well see. But this dwc definitely hurt my yields this round. My Sd fell short big time. Like oz and a half short. Gay. Jamaican D and chunky diesel will be the only two that yield at all. Think they stole all the nutes from their tub partners. Because sd and td were my heaviest yielders. They are in tables and were in coco. In dwc nothing. Like 1/2-1oz each. Unacceptable. So probably won't be anywhere near my target and my 1g/w just went way down. As long as I can get 8 total which I should I can get some coco ones going and get back on track and have the other light paid for.

Thing is the DWC buckets that do well, they DO WELL!! So I kinda hate to give totally up on them when they have soooo much potential. I need to be a little more diligent with they're maintenance.

You don't realize how much easier soil is until you try running DWC and Ebb and Flow along with them. There's a lot more differences in each than I imagined. But, it's a continuous learning process.

Good luck getting back on track toward your goal. If anyone can it's You!!

Doing a little trimming tonight. had to stop for a second to take a scissor hash hit and share this. This is one of the chunky diesel colas. This plant was always in the far side of the room until under the 150. It never even had any over lap of the two lamps. Not too shabby for 150W. :pimp:

Thanks! And yeah you are telling me. Trailer park boys is effin hilarious right now. :roffl:Anyways. I'm not sure but I think the Jamaican D is going to be a decent yeild on it's own...(all of that across the trashbag is JD, one plant cut down into 3rds. LOL)

Some dense looking bud, and shining!! Just like the doctor ordered. With that much resin on the leaves I just can't make myself trim them up very tight. Looks great!!

looking good man. I'm just back here swinging away in my hammock.:coolbounce:

Why DWC? Why not EnF? I have strayed away from full time immersion growing because of the headaches. Not that you can't get slime in EnF tables, but in my experience the simplicity of the flood table systems makes dealing with issues much easier.

  13. skunky

    skunky labor smoke'n lumberjack

FF, main reason for not going with the E&F was just paranoia. LOL The house is new. I just built it a year ago. The space I'm using is really tight and I was just worried if anything went south ruining new flooring and having to redo dry wall and treat for mold. And yeah exactly these methods with constantly submerged roots definitely have their pros and cons. I've still been tossing around the idea about tables but coming home to a flood doesn't sound fun, Hell even 20 gallons at once can cause some decent damage. So here are the two plants I was referring to that would pretty much be my harvest. So all in all so far. I cut the tangerine real early, then had to cut the sweet tooth that was in the same tub. Got 1oz total.... Then I cut the sour D and the other sweet tooth 4 days ago I think. Still have a little weight to lose it feels and they are sitting about 3oz still, so probably about 2.5 or so. So lets just be conservative about 3ozs already pulled, though it's all little popcorn nug looking bs so I wasn't too amped about taking pics of subpar junk, only pics I really took were some with the bud shots. Small nugs on those but at least they were very crystallized. But anyways, so then I have what you see here from the JD and chunky D. Then I have a couple solo cups that will be coming down in a couple weeks. So for what all went on and the headaches and all can't complain too much. Could be worse I could have lost it all... :5eek::roffl:

Yep I'm with ya on the flooding issue. All it takes it leaving a fill hose running and walking away for a beer, then gotta grab pliers from the garage, then feed the cat, then crack another beer, and then....oooops. Six minutes too long and you have 10 gallons of water on floor. :roffl:

I have done this no less than 3 times in the last 6 months.

On the plus side, running smallish tables with top-off float valves plumbed to a main reservoir limits the risk somewhat.

Nice haul man! I totally HATE trimming tiny buds. Counting pennies.

Couple pics of what's in the room now. RR, I grew tangerine the round before too. Like a skunky raped a sunkist and some how it resulted in a little baby mj girl. LOL No mistaking the orange scent and flavor of it. Good chill social smoke too. Trimmed up the old moms and transplanted(buried at different deepths to make them as even as possible for right now. So the solo cups that are almost done, the other 5 that are about 2 weeks now. then the 8 after transplant(one of each). Little solo cups are doing pretty decent. I never even trimmed the roots back on those. Ever. LOL

Chopped down the two galaxies in the solo cups. Not too bad for just letting them go and not really doing anything at all just watering. The two in the far right that are the bushy plants are the two I pulled from the DWC buckets that had the cyano infection.
