I put the a Lumigrow 325 led on a couple plants in a 2x2 table to see what it could do on it's own. You can see in the lower right corner they went into flower on 8/21, so they've been in 14 days. I've got just the white on, other wise everything shows up that wild purple. A little closer look. They seem to be happy. I've got to trim a little more of the under growth. That little shit pops out everywhere the first couple weeks of flower. But like I mentioned, they're doing OK so far. Be Cool, CG
Great color on them plants. Looks like the plants love the led light. How big is the light as far as length and width?
It's like 10" x 11" total' and the light panel is about 7" x 10" I'm guessing. Once the plants fill out completely it looks like it's not going to give enough coverage. But I have another led I can add to the scene as needed. Be Cool, CG
Pretty sure it is the same. The pro 325. I think you mentioned that your friend didn't like it. But in that table and CO2 they're wide open. We can't give it a final grade yet of course. We have to wait and see what the buds look like. Be Cool, CG
yep that's the one. in your OP you mentioned that you just had the white on. Was that for camera taking purposes only?
Yeah, you know the little switch with the leaf and the eye. Flip it to the eye and it cuts off the red and blue so you can see in more detail. With all the colors working everything has a purple glow. Kinda like taking pics under a HPS where everything has a red tint. As soon as I finished the pics I flipped it back. Be Cool, CG
Finally got around to trimming some of the under growth last night. Should have done this much earlier. The roots are looking pretty healthy Buds starting to form nicely An up and coming cola There's no AC in there and the temps are around 85 for the first few hours then cools a little as the night goes on, which isn't too bad since there's co2. But you can see a little cupping in the upper leaves. Something I noticed when looking at the leaves was the fans in the light blowing downward on the plants. Not a huge deal but I raised the light a little and arranged the circulation fan to blow across the tops of the plants and bottom of the light. Which is a good idea in general. So far, so good. Looks great. How are you deciding the set the dials? The spectrum I'm using mine for veg only atm and have white all up, blue up a little tiny bit, no red.
The red is cranked to 10 and so is the white. I couldn't exactly remember the blue. But went back to the pic I'd posted of the unit and the blue is on 6. If they seem to be stretching I pinch and bend the stem and they slow down and bush a little. They recover pretty quickly, like this one I pinched last week. Be Cool, CG
I really don't have enough experience to say for sure. But if I were vegging much of an area I'd lean just the opposite of mine. Crank the blue and white and throw in a little red. I wished there was more experienced advice out there for us to go on.:read2: Maybe we'll figure it out by the time we wear the lights out.:icon_confused: Be Cool, CG
A week later. Been in flower for 24 days now and growing like hell. I'd like to see more bud development, but they're just over 3 weeks, so we'll see. It's starting to cool down a bit here which should help. I think I'll trim just a little more of the smaller shit one more time today and see if it helps the tops to start thickening up. Next res change in a couple days I'm going to kick up the nutes a little more than called for and see what happens. As soon as it cools down enough I'll add another LED and a couple dwc buckets. Be Cool, CG
How high do you have the light about the plants just curious.... No numbers on those but the 650s I measured today would definitely want to be about 2' above the low point of the canopy.
It was just under 20 or so to the highest point now. Any closer and I loose way too much coverage. I need to rig the hanger on the ceiling to allow more height, I just lowered the table about 4 or 5 inches to get more room. I'd like to see their vertical growth taper off and the buds swell up. I'd love to see what the light can do on it's own but if I have to add lighting to get the buds I will. It's becoming pretty evident that with LED multiple units are the best approach to get the coverage. So trying to rate a fixture that's working alone to those working in groups isn't a realistic comparison. Power in numbers!! Be Cool, CG
Not sure since I measured the other unit. But might try to keep 20-24" for that one. Juding by what I see numbers wise if I were to guess that 325 might give 4-7oz depending. Just a wild estimation. We shall see. My buddies pulled about 14+ pretty consistent with the 650.
