And now to see how they grow. These are going to be put outside in mid March. Pretty happy with the germination rate considering that a lot of them looked like duds.[IMG][IMG] View attachment 20080 View attachment 20081

Thanks, I am most interested in seeing if they produce hermy weed or not. Secondly, I want to see how frosty they are. If they don't herm with the spring harvest I am going to clone them and run a coupe for fall harvest to look at trichome production and weight.

I had planned on putting these out in mid March to bud but we are actually having a winter this year so that may not happen. I just moved these from a single bulb cfl to an eight bulb T5 about two weeks ago so they are still kind of small.

In honor of BB214 i am going to rename this 214 Kush. I hope I can do it justice.

214 Kush. They look a little ratty because they have been under a one bulb cfl and a T5 the entire time. I potted them up and put them outside to bud yesterday. i may have to take them inside in may as the daylight hours are no longer condisuve to flowering after aprox. may 15th.

Dude looks like a lady... Started with six plants, one died thanks to the cat, one hermied like no ones business and the other four look good. Nowhere near the profile I was looking for from any of them. The cheese krush was the dominant plant in the offspring and not a hint of candyland came thru. I wanted a frosty plant that would lend itself to oil, and separately the cheese krush and candyland both are pretty frosty. That trait got lost in the translation somewhere too. I won't be taking this strain any further, mainly because of the hermy trait.Hermy

Well I am pretty sure I know what caused the plants to herm. The wife was smoking some of the Candyland the other day and found a seed in it. I had a couple of pounds of the Candyland and she finds one lone seed months later. So no more of this cross. I was going to try and stabilize the cross but I don't have a male Candyland, I only have a female that is cloned from the Candyland that I used in the cross which I found the seed in. It's a shame too because I've been smoking on this for a week now and it's just plain fire.

I love this whole Idea, I so wanted to do this. I think more people should try it and that way more good clone only or legendary strains could be shared.

Yeah, RR after I read your post I remembered people talking about some seed breeders selling seeds from that process. That is not right, if you do go thru the pheno hunts and get good stuff and share to friends Sounds morally better anyways...I really wished I had time, space and energy to do this. I can just imagine all the good stuff you could run into.
