Ok its not the way it should be done.....but if your a pot head like me and new to growing and have yet to grow enough to get ya thru to the cure.....of if ya just want a quick sample....this is how i do it. I never pay attention to the power level.....though the slower the better I have managed to dry some in the micro and get rave reviews. OK first any long stems got to go, then I put a big plate it there and spread most of the ganja out to the OUTSIDE of the plate. Now if you have had it drying normally for a day or so then the process is much quicker So after i stack it like i want,,,,,I hit it for 3 secs to gauge what i got If you see lots of steam.....STOP.....let it rest steam = essential oils and imo thc Ok so after a min or so hit it again @ 3 sec Let rest for 1 min Repeat process until you see no more WHISPS of steam....then you can hit it for like 5 -10 sec bursts to hurry it up....once steam is gone!!!! However you could just opt for 3 sec bursts......40--60 perhaps You will have to dial it in. As I said it keeps IMO 30% to 40% of the taste its suppose to be but because of the process being hastened you will loose flavor and potency However it will still KICK shawags ass....... Go for the cure......but if ya just cant wait this is a good quick way Next time i will try dry ice and let yall know Happy Smoking
Dude, first off, I'm not trying to be a dick..I understand flash drying in an oven on low, but why in the hell would you put your bud in the microwave??? Better yet, why in the hell would you put more than a nugget? Would you smoke some microwaved lettuce if it got you high?? Maybe roll up one of those Totinos Pizzas and smoke it?? Your all ready putting carcinogens in your lungs, but now you want to put nuked carcinogens in?? Come on man, there's no way I'd put one of my buds in the MW.. I have nuked a very small amount of tiny pieces of chopped fresh bud from lower bud sites to get me through the night or whatever. No biggie. Key words being...well everything in the first sentence.

There is a better way! If you need to get high before the nug is dry All you need to do is va-po-rize.... This question may have come up before but IMHO it's not a great idea. I myself would not put my weed in a microwave, EVER! :thumbs-up: Microwaves are bad for your food and definitely bad for your buds IMHO. I personally have no desire to smoke any irradiated buds. :roffl: I recommend you get a vaporizer. What I do if i need some weed before it's dried fully is wait for at least a day for some moisture to evaporate on it's own. Then I use one of my vaporizers to vape the moist weed. Chop it up fine with scissors and the hot air from my Makita Heat Gun Vaporizer setup (Uses either a bag or a bong) will quickly finish drying the buds out (takes only like 10 seconds) and produce vapor that is actually more concentrated in THC than smoke. It works perfect and will get you plenty IRIE!:thumbs-up: If you can't afford a volcano or a Heat gun and custom blown bowl then you can still pick up a Vapor Box like a "vapor Bros" or "Vape Doc" at a relatively affordable price. The taste is far superior to smoking especially when your dealing with uncured/moist buds. This is just my views on the subject but IMO it's the better solution to the problem. You can make your own call though. :redbong:

This method works well... How To Microwave Steam Dry Marijuana * Tupperware container with a lid (that fits) * 3 Paper Towels * Fresh Buds (cut into small chunks) * Water (h20) * A Microwave Cut a 1/4 piece of paper towel and put it in the bottom of the tupperware container. Next put in all your cut-up weed pieces. Now fold the other 2 paper towels and dip them in water, making sure they are evenly wet. Now squeeze out most of the water, then unfold the damp towels and place on top of the container. Now place the lid on top and press down all corners except for one, so the steam can escape. Now place the container in the microwave. Set on medium for 1 minute and let it go. Take it out when the minute is up and let it sit for around 20 seconds. If the bottom paper towel is a bit "wet", change it right away. Also check the 2 "top" paper towels, if they are a little dry get them wet again and put the lid back on and repeat the process. Repeat this process a few times or until it's dry enough to smoke.
I've been down the microwave road. I find it's too much hassle. 3 sec nuke, 1 min cool, repeat. That shit gets old after the 10th time. Nuked weed tastes funky. I say fuck it, water cure that shit. Surely you can wait at least a week for a good water cure. Plus, water cured bud drys quick as hell. That way you will have some good smoke that burns right and your well on your way with the rest of your stash. I figure you've waited this long to grow whats a few more weeks?
Doesn't water curing make it taste like shit? I have never done it, just what I read. Smooth but tastes like crap..... I second, third? the vaporizer bit. I have a $100 vaporite goin on a year and a half, never fails, great for bud right off the plant. The only way i'd smoke anything right off a plant. I'll scrape bowls before quick drying in any way. BUT for those who do not have a vape, this thread is still a good one
I've done the microwave method, and I see no problem with it. I already eat what I cook in there (though that isn't much), so why not smoke something I cook in there? Aint like you are doing it all the time. That said, I prefer my toaster oven set under 200, and just wait till it looks about right. Good thread, we all need a way to check our stuff along the way! Its how you dial it all in!
wow!! can u say VAPORIZOR NO NO dont cook the thc out the weed ..the most i'd do is food dehydrator .i've also set it on the heater floor vent in my room nice smell to seep to
I haven't been desperate enough to use the flash dry method in years. If I want to smoke some fresh bud I take some popcorn buds and put them near the grow light for a day or two until they are crispy dry, then vaporize them.

Thanks.....oven i tried, think i set it at 200 and had .....not great results. But i think it could be me? It just got too dry? I probably did not leave the door cracked enough. Ya i tell you what.....sounds crazy but if ya get a spare bud try it:beerchug-2:
water cure = disappointment.. didnt work 4 me so good, gave it away, after a few tokes. i just tear up a nug into little pieces, and set it on a light for a minute or 20, and shmoke dat shit
20 Minutes, Power of 1 Actually works well for sampling early: Microwave for 20 minutes, power setting on 1. I do culinary herbs in a similar manner at times. Paper towel above and under...
