Here's what I'm thinking on doing. Well I am doing it, I have 5 babies that I put into pots with MG. I also recently made some organic soil (which I'm kinda proud of) I have a bunch more in my germ box. I am running a comparison on the difference in plant health, size, yield, and so on. Not sure if this is the right forum so redirect me if it's not. I'll attach some photos of the mg's, they already look deficient just not skilled enough to know what they're lacking yet. Hopefully this will answer the question "is mg a good soil/nute". I'll keep updating pics and ph throughout the season. As of now the soil is at a high 7 on my ph meter, I've been watering twice a week, once with tap water once with a gallon of gh 3 part useless ratio. /monthly_2013_03/image.jpg.8792396521741b39afe4168e9d158186.jpg
Here's some close ups. Oh and it's only three the ones in the small pots are in some of the homemade. /monthly_2013_03/image.jpg.75790163325ab2180d5865ab005be94b.jpg
I think I'm going to stop using any nutes when I water. For an accurate analysis I don't want to introduce anything that's not in the soil. I have a bunch of bag beans sprouting and I'm going to use some if those for comparison with my homemade organic soil. Tap water here runs about 7.5-8 ph so I should probably ph it down to about 6.5 I'm thinking, but then again I don't want to get to far away from just a "throw it and grow it" type grow for us novice/noobs.
This is dumb. Everyone knows miracle grow sucks. Gonna keep watering them and I'll post any pics at the end if flower if they live that long.
There are more than a few growers who have grown some very nice plants using miracle grow. Just sayin' Duc
yeap everyone has grown at least once with MG, just watch the fertilizers you use. Granted most of us were 16 :roffl: but it can be done:kidding: Use what you have available, it can only help you become a better grower
And don't feed a plant that is in the mg with the useless formula for at least a month. You said your ph was at 7, it needs to be at 6.5 for soil. If you make the correct ratios of nutrients in your organic soil you won't have to ph anything, the soil biology will take care of it.
Well dang, I suck at explaining things. I also didn't realize there were a lot of MG growers, I am gonna keep on watering them and see if I can't get the ph right. I'm just not gonna do a whole log on MG versus any other soil. I'm gonna focus more on learning the proper way to grow some mj and get the best yield out of what I have started. I felt I'm trying to do to much to soon, learning from y'all it seems I just aught to get some basics down, figure out what works for me and get through a grow. I mean, I have grown a couple but it was just tossing some beans out and whatever sprouted let grow. Doing it right and planning things out is a lot more difficult than I thought. here's a couple of previous grows /monthly_2013_03/image.jpg.944745d63bacdaebd4ae4f72e6867698.jpg
Ok, just gotta figure out which member you're talking about, I think it's a case for the head, if you know what I mean
wow man not trying to insult you but I hope your little quicker it pick it up on gardening that you are picking up 1 who they're trying to get you to look up
Ya I felt pretty stupid cause mr. A told me his name. Now, I don't want to insult you, but I hope you grow better than you type. I had to read that twice to figure it out.:roffl:
