:cat2: I picked up some premium earthworm castings at my local grow store. They say add 1/4 castings to 3/4 soil for amazing results. Is that a good ratio? The potting soil i use has great drainage. Will adding castings thickin it up? If so will i then need to add perlite to make up for the decrease in drainage? This is my first time amending soil. Thanks GrowKind

some say non toxic and you can sprout seeds out of just castings. as for that ratio, yea sounds about right. not only do the earthworms have tons of good nitrogen among other very beneficial things but it also makes your plants produce more chitin which repels most bugs and parasites so the more you add the better but 1/4 to 3/4 soil should do a satisfactory job.
