I am 2 weeks into my first Hydro. I am growing 4 DP Orange Bud and 4 DP Oasis. Tried to up load pic's but garden page wont take them. Anyway I am useing the Hydroton as my medium and I used the starter plugs made out of tree bark to give my babies a good start. I am useing the Pure blend Pro for my veging and flowering along with bccuz growth stimulator aswell as Thrive Alive. I haven't had to much of a problem with my PH. I really cant belive how quickly they are growing! I have a 2 gallon resivor, wish it was biger. I change my nutes every week. One thing I have found with my neuts is the PPM reading at full strength is around 820. I figured it would be around 1200 or 1400. Oh well the plants look happy. I hope they all are girls! Any thoughts on the PPM of my neuts would be appreciated. -peace- (Edited by 1bossman at 12:33 pm on Oct. 29, 2003)
So easy, too easy!! If the plants look healthy then use the PPM as a reference for your self, with those plants. Some take more or less diluted solutions. Watch how much they drink in flower and prepare each plant to use 2+ litres per day!! Enjoy. Streaker
1bossman I too use the PBP and am astonished at how well it works. I for one have not burned my plants with ANY strength PBP, up to 2000PPM. I think Useless told me that a correct gauge of PPM is to test the ressy water a few days later Before You Top It Off and if the PPM is the same as it was, that's perfect. If it's become too concentrated then it was too high in the first place, if it's become weak then it should have started stronger. One problem I had was either cal deficiency or heat related root fungus, so I used FloraShield during that last hot week in August and added CalMag Plus to the PBP and haven't had any problems since (except now my main bud is growing too close to the light). I also found my plant to be very responsive to the BlastOff nitro boost. Not sure what's in bccuz or ST but I think they are more along the lines of B1 and hormones rather than N so I think your plant could still use a supplement to the PBP Veg.
I was thinking about one of the Guano's for the suplamental growth and flowereing additive. One High in N and one in P. -peace-
