OK Ranger and the rest of you green thumb gurus. I let my plants dry out since we were worried about overwatering. They still look pale and the smallest of them (4") is turning yellow. I fert 1 week ago with Miracle grow, 400W HPS @ 22", six plants in a well ventilated (thanks Ranger) room at 78 to 82 degrees. They are in deep 12" pots. The bottom leaves of the bigger plants are turning yellow. My PH is exactly 7. Started them in Jiffy 7's and move them into a sterile potting soil. I let them dry out to my knuckle and they feel light. What can I do to make these babies sing again? ( I tried singing to them! )

Bottom leaves starting to turn a yellow colour normally means an N deficiency, but could be a number of things. When you mean you let your plants dry out, do you mean that you flushed them? Overwatering can also cause yellowing, if you let it dry out and it continues then it could well be an N deficiency and a dose of veg fert should stop the yellowing, your damaged leaves wont recover but other leaves shouldn't be affected. A picture would help me give you a difinate answer to your problem, without one I can only guess it might be one of these.

He used Miracle grow on a 4" plant guys. You shouldn't have ferted yet. Flush with plain water. Wait until the plant is about 4 weeks old before using that MG. But you still need to provide some nutes when your girls are about 2 weeks old. Maybe mix it at about 1/10 of suggested after you flush.

I used 1/2 strength MG at 3 weeks when they were begining to pale, with just a pint per plant and then watered regularly. The soil I use is light and airy. Just bought some Thrive, Peters 20-20-20, and Alaska Fish.

Looked at some pics on Overgrow for N def. and they look identical. Of course as my wifey says looks can be deceiving!

Well I don't claim to know why your plants are not thriving but the first thing I would do is get them on Metanaturals.

I was turned on to it on this site and my outdoor grow as well as my veges are absolutely loving life! I'm new to mj cultivation, have been growing veges for a long time and I've never encountered a better nute. In conjunction w/ LK you have to really mess up big time to have poor results.

    Good Luck to you...

24 hours later, I flushed one and the other I mixed up a i/2 dose of Peters and Alaska Fish. Hell, they both look better, not great , but better. The other four I did not touch and they look the same. The leaves on the flushed one are slightly curled upward on serrated edge. Still wondeing about my 7PH.

These babies just do not seem lush. I'll try to post some pics if I can get it figure it out.
