Howdy folks! Today is my one year anniversary being a member of this site. So, that means I started growing my first plant about 1 year and 1 month ago. I would like to thank the mods and members (current and former) for keeping this site running with all it's good information. I would not have been able to get through my first grow without the info and advice I found on this site. I probably would have gotten it somewhere else, but I the fact is I got it here. Hopefully I have helped or will be able to help others in their growing endeavors. I haven't posted in the "Introductions" section before, so today I thought I would. Hi all, I'm AlienBait:new_alien: . The reason I started growing was that I had not smoked in 10 years and decided I wanted to get high:5eek: , BUT, I could not find anyone I trusted to get weed from:sad3: . Then, "60 Minutes" did a story on how easy it was to get MJ seeds from the internet, so I thought I would try it out!:idea1: . Looks like they were right. It was pretty easy. :laughing6: At this point, I've got a few grows under my belt. It's hard to say how many, because they all overlapped each other and I've done a few experiments that may or may not be considered "grows." My first grow was in soil, but once I did a hydro grow, I never went back (well, except for that LED thing...). Some personal info (not too much though...): I live in Northern California, in my mid-40s and married. I have a degree in Physics with a concentration in Astro-Physics, but I work in the Information Technology field. I have owned or been a part owner in 6 different companies. I just find it too hard to work for some one else. Also, I don't have to worry about drug testing. I guess that is enough information for now. Happy Growing everybody!

Damn AP...I think that new baby of yours has mellowed you out.....your posts are MUCH shorter than they were a year ago.
I think i just need to buy a new leather comfier computer chair,lol... and the baby does usually wake up so my posts MAY be getting cut short,i'll need to fix that,lol.Peace
Thanks, man. I just read a lot and I must say that I have learned a lot here going over new and old threads. After that, it's trial and error. If I can't find an answer I am looking for, I will do some experiments to get the answer and post the results in case some one else has the same question.
HEY AB, congrats on one full year. I think my 1 year passed this last may. I just want to thank you for all the experiments you have done, and all the superb growing you have done (herb and everything else you grow) If I am addicted to anything on the internet its definetly this site. The people here are like family to me as well, but I only kno them by their personalities and avatars. lol. Glad you are here AB. Along with everyone else.
