Still doing some minor things to it. Heat really not an issue but it can become one in the future.

Not to be nervous nellie, but temps being good with the power on the lights cut back, in the winter, is NOT good. In one of my tents I have to run the power on the ballast at 75%, even when it's 30 degrees outside. I know it's a problem and need to rethink the light cooling in that tent to get the temps in check. Or grow shorter plants. It gets hotter the closer to the light you go.

Since I've been growing I've had to grow in small spaces mostly. And in all my small closets and tents I have had heat problems. Anything consistently over 80 makes the buds get fluffy.

Yep you're totally right. So I ran it at 75% and it stays @77. Thats been for 8 hrs now.what you don't get to see is I have 2 fans in the cool tube. That's what's helping me out right now

:-welcome-:Correction. It's at 73 now. The low is 72 & the high is 77 in the box not tent. BTW

Nice improvements Smokke. Pete the pisser here though.

Unless the cooltube is vented outside the growspace it becomes a source of heat. The duct fans are simply moving that concentrated radiant heat back into the garden. You'd most likely be better off using bare bulbs and not concentrating the heat energy in the first place.

Since the glass also diffuses light....you've lowered efficiency and added a 250w radiant heater to your garden. Cooltubes are good, when used correctly. They are a negative when used incorrectly.

It is vented outside. Their is a hole in the back to expell the air. That would just be dumb to have the air bouncing back and forth. lol

Oh yeah one fan in the front is pushing the air while the one in the back is pulling the air out. Not at heater. Need to read my last post. Temps in the day are at a steady 77 and int the evening 73.

Good. Then crank that ballast up!

Cool. Then I was misreading and not seeing what was there. Guess I should have asked first. Long as the air is leaving you're golden. You wouldn't believe some of the shit we've seen people try.
