New lamp

    Ive done gone and ordered me a new lamp today! A Gavita 600W. These are like nothing i have seen before and i wanted to test them out. The reflective part is inside the bulb itself so i dont have to worry about my shade getting dirty and losing light. Apparently they put out an extra 20% light (5 extra PAR). I dont know all the info but heres something for you all to check out...

    they are cool!!! dont need no hood. 95% useable light. low heat build, you can put em anywhere.

    Mary: It certainly brightens up the garden, and i do wear my shades when im in there. [​IMG]


    Herb: Those are the bungees for hanging the light up. Never tried em before so i dont know how long they are going to last, but im already impressed with them. Think ill have to get another spare set just incase they break though.


    BelowMe: They can be quite hot... my daytime temps have risen by about 4C since i put her in. The ladies are loving her though! :bigok: Just need to get the humidity sorted out now...

    I got it trade so it was fairly cheap... they go for £200 over here though or maybe more at some places...

    The laides are loving the Gavita!! Cant believe the difference in size since i put this new lamp in there :shocked: They've come on in leaps and bounds
