    True, but this study is a bit different for many reasons. Here is a good article on erowid about the current sources for drug use statistics and studies:

    Its actually a two part article. The second part goes on to talk about something even more important, i think... It talks about how simple survey errors can cause errors in the data. For example, in 1997 the NHSDA or NHS said that it was having problems because some of the respondents said their parents wouldn't let them take the surveys.... So even parents blocking their kids from the surveys can affect the results!


    DopeStats updates results instantly, and therefore shouldn't be outdated like some of the yearly surveys. It also reports the most commonly used amounts with their average prices for each county.


    The only problem right now is website traffic..
