My friend that is a marijuana activist, big time activist. He is a speaker at large events such as Seattle Hempfest which is the largest cannabis policy reform event in the world! Well he sent me a link and said that we need more than 1 million people to visit and speak there mind. This link is has a small form that was made by the Obama administration. It ask's you to tell them your ideas on anything that you would liketo see done by the administration. Apparently they take this serious and read our requests. He told me to go there and tell them why I think marijuana should be legalized, but in a manner that is professional and makes sense. Not only did I speak my mind on marijuana but I threw in some other things that I think would benefit our country. Here is the link please fill out the form and speak your mind. It could be about anything not just marijuana. Pass this link around and get your friends to do the same. Its is a way to make an attempt to be heard.

We did that then Obama openly mocked us and dismissed our efforts. He was all about it when he was running for office but as soon as the guy got in he turned his back on a lot of supporters (not just the MJ ones):siskel:

Oh well might as well shove it in his face a couple more times.

You'll have to forgive me if I cry :bs: on them actually reading and taking anything 'we the people' say to heart. It's nothing more than them trying to appease us in hopes that we don't incite out and out revolution.

    Too late for that now.

1st term hills vs. 2nd term hills

I remember when he shit on us. Yes. It disapointed me very much. But when I really sat back and thought about it, with all of the stuff on the table at the time I can almost see why he didn't think it was a good idea to take up THIS particular cause at this time. The economy, healthcare, the wars in Iraq and Afganistan, immigration, fixing the international cluster fuck that was our foreign policy under 8 years of Repub. rule....... Somtimes you must pick your battles.

Think about it. I can see the Republican propaganda machine producing a commercial with Obamas head on a figure with a Kangol hat, an Addidas jogging suit w/ matching shoes, thick gold chains......"Ladies and gentlemen our Dealer and Chief Barak Obama!". Some of the things we have going on now need much closer attention than MJ decriminalization.

Now he could've been serious, in which case I'm with you 100% but there are alot of hills to climb politically. MJ decriminalization my be a 2nd term hill to this man. Who knows? If you really listened to what he said, he said "I don't think that the sale and tax of marijuana is sound fiscal policy for fixing the economy." He didn't say it should stay illegal or that decriminalization is ludacris or off the table. If he wins a second term I'll bet he does it then, when he has nothing to lose politically and all if not most of the other major problems are dealt with. I could be wrong.

    Simper Fi!

Jesus Christ, dosen't anyone believe in ANYTHING anymore? Are we so disenchanted and disaffected and ironically detached from everyone and everything that we don't have an ability to fucking TRY anymore? Just TRY! It's eggactly how the oligarchy in this country and throughout history has maintained power; demoralizing the population; Hopelessness; Defeatism!

Just keep trying! Never give up! Never back-down! Never surrender!

Oddly enough, that is exactly what you keep implying those who disagree with you should do. Did that come out right? :icon_confused: :icon_confused: Kinda late night blazed and me fingers are squirrelling around on the keyboard abit.

Yeah, and spend all of his political points on MJ. Making your and my life much easier and worry-free, but leaving a whole host of issues undealt with with no political points left to adress them with. And let's not make any mistakes about how deeply ingrained the fear and propoganda has seeped into our society about MJ. When he does do it, IF he does it, his political career will be over and he knows it, nomatter what he personally feels about MJ. That's why I think that if he does it, as easy as it might seem, it'll probobly be done in his second term IF he wins one.

If he had done it when the economy was in trouble, all you would've heard from the otherside of the issue was that, "It's just like a black guy to revert to selling drugs when he's in a tight financial situation." As wrong as that statement is his enemies would've gobbled it up and it would've sabotaged all the OTHER good he could've done as President. It's kind of like eating watermelon as a black guy. You kinda don't want to do it in front of the wrong white people and under the wrong circumstances. People could take it the wrong way.

Fuck dude! You really believe most of us white conservatives think that way? If so, yer wrong man.

As far as your comfort level behaving normally in front of white people....it's something I've never had to experience so will never fully understand.

Wow Blackprince, you seem like a really smart guy, obviously with a political interest, but if you ever want to see the whole picture you gotta stop seeing things as black and white. Obama is both and looks it, but who really cares? A small percentage of ignorant people sure but the majority of US white people are of a new mind and a new generation. I am a Rasta, A white Rasta, once again not that it matters, people have all kinds of pre conceived notions about everything, you, me and everybody in between. Personally I never would have gone to the black guy selling drugs in hard times thing. Most of the drug dealers I have ever known were white. People are people and regardless of color they all do essentially the same things. This was not intended to offend anyone I am not in the least bit a racist or bigoted person, I am peaceful and accepting of everyone race, religion, and cultural differences are all beautiful and are what make the world beautiful. I agree that people are becoming disenchanted and it IS IMPORTANT to KEEP TRYING. If we all just lay down and let the rest of the sheeple lead the way then we can't very well complain about the state of the country. As far as Marijuana and the Federal government is concerned, we need to keep fighting for decriminalization to have it first removed from the schedule 1 list of drugs alongside heroin and cocaine. Everyone that lives in a state that supports decriminalization and Medical use should try to participate in the medical movement. Sooner or later the Federal government will have to recognize the state laws, when there are millions of us they can't ignore it forever. Power comes in unity and spreading the knowledge to the masses of people who would otherwise be disenchanted and uninvolved.

    Sorry that was long winded.:bong2:

Anyways as always Blessings to all you peaceful Grow Kinder's! Much Love.

I don't assume anything about anyone with a higher or lower melinin count in their skin. Real is real and fake is fake. There is no magic melinin number range like a credit score or somthing. I'm not sayin that all conservatives are racists but I AM saying that if you're a racist in THIS country then you're probobly a conservative. I mean, from what I've seen in my life experience anyway.

You knkow what really made my heart jump is when Pat Bucchanan said that "black people were better off before the civil rights movement because at least before then they knew where they stood." My jaw dropped to the floor! The clip was old. He looked younger by at least 20 years. I think it was from the 80's. But DAMN! Really, dude?

There are patterns of behavior all over the place. Most conservatives black (believe it or not) and white that I have met talk of an idyllic past when the govt. did'nt do anything but fight wars and deliver the mail. All of these idtllic pasts take place in a time when people with a melinin count in their skin similar to mine had no rights. Not even the right that I'm exercising right now to speak freely in this forum. So, I'm very......let's say cautious of conservatives, because I always find myself wondering "What are they trying to conserve?"

I'm sure there's some kinds of fiscal conservatives that are realists on our bs progressive tax code and their place that their comming from isn't a hateful and bitter place so I respect that. Maybe there are conservatives that see the rising crime rate and feel all the govt. restrictions on gun ownership and carrying and self-defense culpability then I can respect that, but that isn't the face of the conservative movement right now. The Barry Goldwater generation isnt what we're dealing with, man.

You look at the record and tell me I have ANY reason to believe what our government tells me. When and if there is reason...I'll believe the :bs: Until then.....my effort will go into getting rid of this corrupt government of ours. Through revolution if needed.

And for the record....there is no 'try'...only 'do' or 'do not'. To date...our government has done nothing it has promised. From the President down to the elected representatives. They lie to our face and then stick our noses in the shit they spew. They have not demoralized me...they've pissed me off! :fingermad:

Good stay angry and fight the government, but let me ask you this...As bad as our government is with it's lies and corruption, would you rather be living in say China or Iran for example, world governments will always be corrupt and greedy. I would gladly stand up and fight a revolution if I thought that anything would change with a new government but the world histories have shown that 1 corrupt government will always be replaced with another often times worse 1. I for one see many problems with the government and the justice system in this country but we are doing a fair sight better than most of the countries throughout the world. Go live in Mexico for a while and talk to me about do or do not. The people in this country have it pretty good considering the state of the rest of the world. Go to china and try surfing the net sometime and see how many sites have been blocked and banned by the government there. We definitely need to fight to keep our rights in this country because I for one am proud to have been born in the USA. My wife was born in the Philippines and lived there until she was 15 when they left they did so because the new President that took power after Marcos did away with many high ranking political and military figures that were Marcos loyalists such as my late Father in Law. He was a colonel and the private bodyguard unit entrusted with the protection of Marcos' mother, she grew up in a presidential palace but when Marcos was replaced the new regime "cleaned house" my wife's family fled to the USA because he feared for their safety, now That is a corrupt government. I have other friends from Bulgaria that also fled government that wanted them dead for speaking out against the countries leaders. It could really be a lot worse for us. I try to always look at the world as a glass that's half full instead of half empty.

    :passit:

Ohh and by the way if the revolution begins I will fight along side you to keep this country free and to preserve our human rights. Keep the faith brother's and sisters, keep "doing" what your doing, it's exactly what needs to be done!:passit:
