Ok, Making me some new outdoor buckets that are 20L. I'm thinking of leaving a 2L resovoir at the bottom filled will river rock. The reason being I've had these buckets for a while and they already have one hole drilled in them because I used to use them to dispense Sun brewed Tea. Anyway, I've painted the outside of this one as a prototype and figured I'd ask for some input. I have a couple of 40" females ready to transplant in to them but i'm wondering if maybe I should make the res a bit higher as sometimes I am not home for 4-5 days at a time and maybe I might need the extra backup water just in case I can't get to them. BTW the camo is not for sealth or anything just paint I had foranother project. Basically just using the buckets as a means of transport. Is this a good Idea? The next pic is the drain hole hight next to a 5" pot for comparison. Any suggestions are welcome.
