This is just a question of what the term means to you guys . I've seen reference to 'perpetual grows' that harvest every 2 months and talk of taking clones and a veg area . Is that Perpetual Harvest ? It's perpetual work . . . I thought I did a Perpetual Harvest . New plants into the flower box every week and fully developed ones out the other side in about 8-9 weeks . Under my 8 square feet it is about 1 plant a week in 2-3 gallon containers . CSCROG . Is a two month harvest interval Perpetual Harvest ? Have I got the wrong terminology ?
i take it to mean having an area for veg and a separate area for flowering, vegging a crop while flowering another and having clones rooting for vegging,a constant cycle cutting the grow period in half so that you have a harvest in the time it takes to flower.that is my understanding of a perpetual harvest.
i have a perpetual grow system. you guys got it right, it is always having plants in veg in a seperate room/closet so theyre ready for the bloom chamber. as soon as you harvest you have plants ready to put into the bloom room so that you can eliminate the month veg time it would take to grow em under the same light. i use t-5 flouros to veg for almost two months an i end up with two pounds of dry finished product after blooming for two months under a 1000w hps. and yes, it is perpetual work. it is in fact a second job to keep everything going so much that i havent stayed on schedule once in a year of growing. pretty soon here ill have it down though, im still a noob.
Ok . What do you call a system where they are always going in and coming out ? A clone setup , a veg space , and a flower chamber in constant yield (every 5-10 days) , new plants going in as old ones are harvested ... Plants in the flower chamber are anywhere from day one of 12/12 to harvest day . Just looking for the right term so I don't sound stupid .
i do believe that is the perpetual harvest, keeping things going in a continuous cycle, every time you harvest, you have the next"generation" of veggers ready for flowering and clones ready for vegging
OK , I'm not trying to be stupid . Two month intervals between harvests just doesn't seem to qualify as the same tech . Does it ?
thats about the amount of time i'm looking at for maturity in my plants for what i consider perpetual harvest, but i'm just trying to keep myself in smoke, not supply anyone, but then again,i'm pretty new to this
Definition. Perpetual-adj.-1. Continuing unlimited in time. 2. Incessant; ceaseless. 3.Bot. Being in bloom during all or nearly all the year, as certain hybrid flowers. See continual, eternal, permanent. 1 week, 2 weeks, 2 months....perpetual would be having blooms at all times. So, 2 month interval between veg and bloom is perpetual(when flowers are always present). 1 week interval between veg and bloom...also perpetual. Might add that it's the HARVESTING that makes it perpetual, not the plant itself, though.
I agree as long as you have 2 cambers and plants in all stages you are doing a Perpetual grow. I have this type of set up. I harvest one plant every 10-15 days. When I pull one out I have one ready to go in. To me that is a perpetual grow.
yeah, if you have the space you could harvest one plant every day. as long as you have two chambers an dont veg, and bloom under the same light in one room, an always have girls vegging its perpetual. having girls goin into bloom every two months might seem like a long time, but its still a bigger pain than a sog system. harvesting every week seems like a little too much work for me, but can be done. you jus gotta figure out what you wanna do. mj plants require different treatments in different stages of their life. its easy to give the wrong nutes to a plant in the wrong stage. too many mistakes an your yield suffers. in a sea of green system you only have to think about one stage at a time, an harvest a bunch all at once.
Dude... If you have enough space, enough lights, enough supplies & enough clones... You could set it up to where you could pull in a harvest every week from a different grow room. You'd bust your ass trying to keep up with all the harvesting, trimming, manicuring, drying & curing... It would become a full time job. Bear in mind, the bigger the operation, the bigger the potential haul... And... the bigger the risk to your life / freedom! Stay low & below the radar... Don't get too complacent or there might be an unfriendly knock on your door!!!
