(NOT sure WHAT I CAN, or SHOULD work with and HOW)I have 2 types of water, and my drinkin water is 001 PPM's, and my sink water is 390 PPM, and I heard its not good to work with PPM over 350 or 300, so I was wonderin, if I used the drinkin water, thats 001, could I do that, and if so, is there anything i would need to add, or get to make my water workable? Or if there is anyway (cheap) or low costly way I could get my water in a more workable state instead of 390, please please please let me know, after this, its all down hill from hurr! Water hardeness is measured in amounts of disolved minerals.The harder your water is the higher your PH will be. The main culprit of hard water is calcium carbonate and the only practical way to remove it is either distilling or reverse osmosis. i'm getting ahead of myself.As you probably know the higher ppm of water the higher ph and the more problems with hydro.Most people think if you have high ph water you can just adjust it with solution to bring it down......wrong.calcium carbonate is a pest.Unless removed it will continue to buffer the water and raise the ph regardless of how much ph adjusting solution you use.You have a couple options if you want to use tap water.buy a reverse osmosis filter which costs from $100.00 and up but RO filters use as much as 75% of water to make 25% of good water not cost effective in my mind. I'm confused when you say drinking water and tap water.Do you buy drinking water,already have an ro filter or what? Your drinking water is pretty much good to go with hydro.Another option is to mix your drinking water with your tap and basically dilute but like i said your drinking ewater is fine.
I have a water fountain, with arrowhead water jugs, get them filled every few weeks, but you say that the drinking water will be fine to use? If so, is there anything id need to do, to perfect it or I mean is there anything id need to add or get to take care of any futher problems with the PPM, or PH, I got earth juice PH up and Ph down, would recommended anything, or the would that be fine?
GT, i believe you forgtot to finsih what you were going to say i think. you can distill the water by letting it sit in a open container for 24 hrs or more, the chlorine evaporates i believe but GT may elaborate on this.
