does it matter if its in the veg state or does it have to be in flower state?? an also whats the difference between jogging an LST????
as far as i know the two and one in the same and i start jogging my plants from seed the end of the third week and suppercrop up until then, then do a combination of the two. With the clones I just waited will they showed signs of growth then tied them over.
the two aren't one in the same lol basically JOG or jungle of green is JUST tying the main stem down below the others, and usually you run it parallel to the ground or container..Lst is where the main stem is tied, but every resulting new main stem is tied when it gets too big, and repeat as needed..JOG is only tying the main stem ...LST is stem and branches...see? And yes you should do it in the vegetative stage and begin releasing the ties in the flowering stage. if the plant is from seed, to eliminate stretch betwen the nodes...from clones, you don't have to realease the strings though if ya don't want, because there is less stretch for some reason..anyways....if you are @ the flowering stage DON"T start now it's too late. Always start it @ about the time u see atleast about 5 nodes, and i use a paper clip to start with, cause young plants are easy to work with...later on you will need string, but remember it's a GRADUAL tying and don't try to do it all at once, b/c you'll snap stems... the point of both is to get the main top below the level of the lateral branches to divert the main flow of food to the others to thicken them up....whether u are taklin about JOG or LST...
yup its all about getting the lower branches exposed to trigger the hormones to do work else were, which is now where the light is getting through better than it was before. thanks for the insight mikey i just always assumed they were pretty much the same, learn somethign new everyday!
no prob homey the ???gets asked a lot and if u ain't read some of the threads by PHATPHARMER in the OG sacred scrolls over on yahooka ya missing out man..that dude done some amazin shit
Im Doing Somethin Like That With One Of My Outdoor Plants. I Have The Main Stem Tied Completely Over And Growing Along The Ground, But Every Branch On The Plant Is Tied Down In A Differant Direction, And Also Growing Along The Ground. Its Compleletly Flat On The Ground And Looks Like This \|/ If Lookin From Above.........................................................................................................../|\ I Just Always Considered It To Be Lst Even Though The Main Top Isnt Below The Other Branches. Its Tied On Every Branch And No Part Of The Plant Is Growin Up, Except The Very Tops. And It Looks Good As A Mfer, But I Started Bending And Training That Plants Branches As Soon As It Was Posable. Not A Good Idea For A Plant In Flower.
Yeah you don't want to attempt anything like that during flowering....you live and learn. During flowering you wanna let the plant divert all it's energy into producing buds and avoid undue stress.
OL what u did is LST but i am sure the first tie you made was to pull the top over right??lol ...the point is that JOG= main stem tying LST= all stems and branches get tied easier to understand now lol?
dam damn dam well i guess im a little to late reading your post mickey an i am still in vegg but she is about 16 inches an i did try to tie down all at once an she did kink like i pinced her so i tied losly to stick straight up will she recover its been 3 days no sign of dieing yet an if should i start a clone out of her now thanks
