ok as im working towards my goal, i have a serious question regarding privacy. Is my internet address safe from prying eyes? in other words as i post on here and wanting to put up picks of my progress. what keeps LEO from seeing my post and tracking it back to me through my url address? is this question clear? please advise if you can. i really enjoy being a member here. thanks in advance
Think about the individual man power it would take for a cop to look up all the personal info and track down a little closet grower with a dozen plants. I'd feel a little sketchy posting up a huge warehouse grow or something of that sort, as you might get on someones radar. And if your local leo's are looking into your Internet usage, you already slipped up sonewhere else. I don't think I've ever read someone getting popped for posting on a forum
leo can see anything they want. As long as you are not growing a lot and don't tell anyone and there are no odor or light leaks then you are 99.99% safe posting here
If you dont want to be traced through your IP use a proxy server when on GK. Your IP only points to your general location, not your home address. But as stated above. The police arnt going through grow forums to find small time personal growers.
I agree--the adage, "No tell, no smell, no cell" is the Golden Rule. You gotta figure...how much money in man hours would it cost to pay a bunch of rookie Feds to sit on line all day, every day, reading all the grow forums? And NONE of them growing more than a pound or two? I mean...with all the real crime going on I hope to god they'd have way better things to do with their time and the tax payer's money. thanks all again for the insight and reassurance. im not worried anyone is looking into me just me and my overthinking ways. i just wanted some confirmation and you have provided it. i didnt think the resources are there for small closet grows like mine but hey if i didnt address it my karma would have pointed it out in other ways lol smell will be handled either with a carbon scrubber or i believe i have access to both my toilet drain and sink drain, im thinking i could vent the room that way, send it out the drain pipe. i live in an old factory converted into over 400 individual condos. figure it would be hard to trace any odor back to me. the closet is an interior closet and is almost light proof from outside as it is. so no worries there. and GKers are the only ones who know im doing this. wait til my friends see me pull out real top strains. a lil at a time hehe... asssit:
thanks giz, i am sure i will need some luck as ive never grown anything except that green bean plant in elementary school hehe. but ive done lots of research gonna buy top genetics (mr nice) will have plenty of light for flower. not sure about nutes ans i want the best possible taste in my bud. quantity is secondary to quality for me. and im debating whether to do soil or hempys. is there a difference in flavor of the bud between hempy and soil? between organic and synthetic nutes and base 2 or 3 part nutes vs multi part nutes?

Soil Rules! Im rocking 3 plants, in 5 gallon buckets, using pro-mix & shrimp compost & bat guano (Bat grow durng veg, and Bat bloom during flower). Im using a combination of Botanicare and General Organics Nutes. To date, Im finding that using Botanicare for the Macro and G-O for the micro a winning combination. Throw in some Liquid Karma and Sweet Raw and you`re golden. Havent picked up the Hydroplex(Botanicare) yet, but Bio Bud seems to be working out nicely. Have a peek at my updated 'Another month to go' thread. Have a look see for yourself. Crop smells fantastic and is trully super sticky icky! If I were to touch a bud in the slightest, I wouldnt be able to unglue my fingers from each other without dishsoap! Do it, Do It...DO IT! Peace, JJb :beerchug-2:
