I was told that this strain was Indigo, my signature color! Supposedly this is a high-grade herb. I'm hoping to get the HPS going for flowering this lil' lady! A friend gave me two seeds a long time ago. Only one of them popped, and that one took a long time to germinate. It is growing nicely now. I like my new digital camera! This plant was germinated in early October.
Not a good thing, Not being able to control flowering will mean you wont be able to grow with many methods and also you wouldnt be able to keep a mother and usally if a strain has an undesirable trait like that means poor breeding which could mean other problems...
So, don't clone this? It isn't in full bloom. I only see pairs of pink/purple hairs, not budding. Are pre-flowers 'not a good thing' as well?
i had a little bit of the pink last grow...pretty tasty ****. not sure if its strain or what, but it sure is eye candy! enjoy...420.
autoflowering can be a good thing if you intentionally bought an autoflowering strain and you know how to grow it, but i'm pretty sure that there's only one strain that does that... it's not like any plant can just turn into an autoflowerer like they can turn hermie. and preflowers are good, that just shows maturity.
Thanks for the pics and the testimonials all. adfaFd: This plant is sexually mature, and I'm considering using it for clones, but not if there are 'conditions' in raising it that I'm unaware of. WhiteSticked implies that there may be 'other problems', and what is different in growing this type of MJ? I've read up on 'Indigo' and it is labelled as a slow starter, which it was. It grew slower than all the other plants around it. Any input on how to bring this girl up to fruition, lighting techniques, etc would be much appreciated. Here's a top shot of her:
Dude its prolly just pre flowers(every plant gets them at sexual maturity) But if it continues to produce buds while still vegging its an auto flowering strain which you wont be able to clone because you wont be able to keep the clones from flowering, what i ment by "other problems" is because if the strain has an undesirable trait such as auto flowering it would be pretty poorly bred which could mean it could have hermie genetics/low yield/low potency/lack of vigor(which you already mentioned it as "slow starter") but unless it starts forming some buds while still vegging your fine... The slowness was in the germination/seedling stages. It looked like a runt, but now that it is in full veg growth it is cruising right along. I am going on the faith that those that have written/harvested 'Indigo' before know what they're doing. I'm following some grow tips I found on another forum for this lady, and I'm convinced that these are pre-flowers and not blooming buds. I'm going to take a couple clones partially to increase the yield of this beautiful plant, and partly to test out my new GT420-Special aero-cloner.
wow amazing pink hairss. fantastic post as i have a plant with has still 20 days veg left and is showing white hairs , but i was givin the plant so i guess it could be a lil older than what i think, but hairs are better than balls
pink hairs, thats nothing but a nutrient difficency and low lumens...look how underweight and airy those "pink" buds are, thats NOT a good thing.... to each his own.
ohh yeah, the purple stems so early in growth is most likely phosphrous, maybe even a potasium problem. Good luck!
The picture you see there in the first post is of the lowest branch on the plant. How do your lowest branches look?
i only have buds that get light...big buds, i dont waste with weak fluffy popcorn.....no offense. sorry bout the wake up but it can be fixed, use some compost tea and some kelp foliar feed.... that oughtta fix er!
