There are so many things I want 2 know. Wish I could take an intro 2 marijuana cultivation class or something. I have searched endless online info hordes and downloaded like 5 grow guides but the unfortunate thing about being a head is that I don't remember a freaking thing I read! kidding, I remember some of it... it is just so much easier to ask the guru's here insted. What happens if I started the 12/12 way to early? I still do not see a single pre-flower after almost 2 weeks? sup with that??? all the guides said 4 weeks and then flower? the plants were small and had roughly 3 sets of leaves. I gave them some 10-30-10 fert and have a timer on the lights? Should I scrap the whole thing and start over?
Are you hydro or soil? What kind of lights? Have you looked through our FAQs? We have some incredible "gurus" on this forum, just don't waste their knowledge on something you can find yourself. Easier is not always better! That said, how long did you veg? I've seen some pics here of plants that went to flower right after sprouting.
wow, your nutes are really strong, might wanna think about getting something less. or do you use very little? but as far as you 12/12 question goes..... i grew a plant starting it at 12/12 from seed outdoors. i ended up with a little bit under a half ounce. so my question to you is, how long did you vegg for? because i didn't see anything for about 4 weeks. but yeah, i think you should just keep going, and if things go wrong, figure out what happened to learn from your mistakes. i wish you luck
you are right. I am going to go back and find what I need to know myself. Anything I learn along the way is going to help me in the long run. it was 4 weeks total vegg... I am using a cfl flood w/7,000 lumins total with a natural light florescent i had 4 my iguana on the floor lighting upwards i have no clue how many lumins that one is. They were about 4-6 inches tall and had just started throwing leaves from the corner where the branches meet the stem. Started the seeds from a bag and they are all the same but one which has darker leaves that are really broad compared to the other plants. I said in a previous post this is a test run 4 sure. Really going to consider some female wt. widow seeds 4 next time.
If you flower your plant before she has alternating nodes (illustrated in the faq) she will do it but will not yeild as much as she is not fully mature. Now with clones you can flower right off the bat because they are the same biological age as the mother plant. With seeds you should wait for alternating nodes or usually about at least a month. And many plants will show preflowers before flowering, but many won't.
four weeks is for vegging under at LEAST 400w hid lighting. waiting for alternating nodes is the earliest you wanna put em into bloom. and i start out with a half strength nute program slowly increasing by 100 ppm each week. my clones get about 300 ppm, my veg start out with 500 ppm, and my bloom end up with up to 1700 ppm before flushing. i try to remember to flush every couple weeks, or when its hot i use pure ph'ed water in between feedings as is neccesary. sometimes with nutes, less is more!
