Yeah so im following my feeding schedule as provided by FF My big girl is about a foot tall and looks good to me she had a lil yellowing just the tinyest bit but i had skipped a feeding cause i was scared to overfeed so i did what i read and let her tell me what she needed i fed her and she recoverd almost instantly.

So this morning its time to feed her and my lowrider got her 1/4 dose veg food (she is ecactly 2 weeks old today and looks great. Now i correct my water EVERYTIME i put water in them to 6.3-6.5ish and i had read if you do that you are pretty much ok.

But today i decided to test there runoff water and to my horror it came up reddish in the 4's.

My question is this my plants look good and healthy tight nodes strong stems good color at least to me but this is my first go round .

Should i be worried? And if i need to be what action should i take to correct this if any . Here are a couple pics .

You need to measure the PH in the SOIL as well. If the soil PH is 6.5 you are fine. If it is lower, then you will need to have the water/nute PH higher than what you have been doing to bring it up.

The ph meter i bought lolz thing is a joke no matter what i put it in it reads 6.5 i cleaned the electrode with a file but it still reads the same.

What kind of soil mix are you using?Did you add any sort of buffer to the soil, such as d.lime?

just to comment on the run off water, it is probably because you are adjusting your waters pH everytime. In hydro you can do that cause it will remain in aqueous solution in your res but in soil it can be absrobed in the soil and remain behind for a little bit, most of pH down is made with nitric acid or mild hydrochloric either way you will be better off not adjust your water everytime only when you mix nutes, sounds crazy i know but it works.

you need to do some spritzing with some epsom salts as the tips of the leaves are starting to yellow.

I have a question for you, how long has it been or have you flushed yet?

if not then it's probably time for a flush. Once you flush, water them with the proper amount of nutrients and you should be good to go.

The reason why your pH is so low on the runoff is that there is salt buildup in the soil. Soil growers need to flush between the veg and flower cycle to reduce salt buildup in the medium.

It's easy to forget because most people's plants never show signs of it, but with FF there are some chems in there and you will need a flush before the flip to 12/12.

Flush em, feed em, and let em be.

Spritzing? like epsom salts and water in a sprayer and just mist the plant proper?

No i havent flushed her yet but its not time for 12/12 she is gonna get a long veg while the lowryder catches up.

I just fed so when she starts to get light in the pot i will flush her thru real good on your advice.

Also any old epsom salt and how much concentration ?

TY sooo much for your help !!!

at what point should transplant happen before or after the light change?

not exactly sure although from what i understand you flush and/or transplant in between veg and flower, so i guess before the actual lightchange. I guess it makes sense to transplant then move them into the big light

Dissolve some epsom salts in some warm water.. just a couple table spoons in a glass of water.. then pour it in a clean spray bottle. Fill it the rest of the way up with cool water..

Spray your plants down with it just after your lights come on or right after they go off. spray the tops and bottoms of all leaves.

Since you are going for an extended veg time, a good flush of the soil is def a must. Do that the next time you water.Right after you flush, then feed as you would normally.

This does a few things for you. 1 it eliminates hot spots in the soil where salt has built up. 2 it exchanges the oxygen in the soil and kills off bad bacteria.

    3. It helps you be able to maintain a proper pH throughout flower.

Some people flush some don't, and it's really situational and medium dependant. Considering you are going to do an extended veg, it's def a good thing for you to. If I were you I would do some LST on it or it might get out of control...

Remember during flower they can get 3-4x their veg height.

Transplant right before you switch to flower and i fluch during the transition, meaning right as soon as the light is being flipped the next watering is a flush but i have my feeeding set up to where i feed right before the flush during the transition.
