First time grower. I've got 5 females and one of them could be harvested any time now. (all planted at same time outside in containers) .I don't need that couch lock high so I'm not waiting on all the hairs to go dark color, nor do I want all the trichomes starting to turn amber in color. The little bit I harvested had a few clear trikes, but mostly cloudy ones.

I have plants where some of the buds are ready to be taken through the post process, while some on the same plant just have a few red hairs, and all the trichomes are clear, not cloudy yet.

Like I said I'm new. Do I just pick 'em like apples, when they are ready? Is there a reason I have to harvest the plant at one time? (I have already had a few bowls of the ripe stuff after doing a quick dry. I got a nice bounce in my step, perked up, and got a real treat to an energetic high. BY WEED I GREW! Good feeling :beerchug-2:

Peace my friends, thanks in advance for any advice.

There is nothing wrong with doing multi-harvest from the same plant. I don't know about outdoor, but indoors the tops usually mature faster than the bottom buds.

pick no bud before its time

Unlike fruit it won't ripen after you pick it

Plus, removing the top buds will help the lower buds get ready--they'll get more light!

Another kind of HighLess then sixteen weeks ago I'd never seen a living Cannabis plant. I couldn't have told you if you smoke the male or female. I've indulged in learning, and pampered those 5 females like they deserved. I started with soil I just dug up out of my backyard garden. Didn't germinate seeds any other way then planting them in the dirt and watering them. I've never known the Ph of any of my soil. I've hid them in the open in my backyard amonst some Mexican Sunflowers. Ahhh you can smell 'em when the wind blows. I've already given to some friends, and will continue. But, I couldn't sll this to a stranger. I'm too proud of it that nobody could afford it. My clones have some massive roots. Guess some good Karma might of caught up w/me. Peace my friends. These pics are about 6-7 weeks old.
