here are my toys: we have the mini bong at the left. it was blown as one piece of glass...even the down stem my roommate dropped it but luckily only chipped the carb so it still hits hard then you see the goldschlager bong made by yours truly. it rips just as hard as any jerome baker bong i have used. you can tell we make good use of it because that down stem is laced with resin end to end. the drill bit i used to make it was about $8 and the bowl and down stem were $25 together. in front of that is my precious sherlock that i broke i was trying to scrape some resin from the bowl b/c the hole was getting clogged and it collapsed! in front is my buddha statue that a dear friend gave me for my 21st bday next to buddha is a little novelty pipe i bought during a stop my cruise made in jamaica. i've only used it a couple of times b/c it's made of wood or something so it has a weird taste. finally there is my brand new space case herb grinder from badassbuds. i just used it for the first time tonight to roll a nice spliff that we will smoke tomorrow evening to celebrate the completion of a 400W flower box my friend and i are going to build thanks again, jay! oh yeah, in the background you can see the certificate from my first sky dive a year ago.
Dood, those Space Cases are the ****!! If you have the patience and let the kief build up, you can make yourself a nice little ball of hash. Of course you do have to grind up a fair bit of weed, but in the end it's worth it.
I love the sherlock man, I want to get one myself. Sucks what happened to it but im positive that has happened to all of us once or twice its happened to me lol. That green lighter is awesome too arr arr. peace man
Nice collection Mellow. Those homemade bongs really do knock your socks off don't they LOL. Skydiving! I never really could bring myself to jumping out of a perfectly good air plane LOL. Ps. Be sure and post pics of that box.
i uploaded the pictures from last weekend, but we didn't quite finish everything so i'm going back this weekend to help with the finishing touches. i've been too busy to start a thread with details of each step, but you can see the pics in this garden. i just realized some people already found my garden and it has an average rating of 9.0 DUDE...SWEET!!!
nice garden dude. I was planning on making a box almost exatly the same as that, but now that you have it all laid out in pictures for me it will be a lot easier to build it from that than from my imagination when im finally ready
adfaFd, draw out some detailed plans before you get started. if you'd like i can upload some pics of 'blueprints' i made for that box.
everything looks good mellow. I like that homeade bong, did you fire polish the it after making the hole?
xen, no, right now it just has a rubber gasket thing. the bowl is pretty heavy so it works, but once the bowl is lit i push down on the stem a little to completely seal it and the bottle just turns white one day i'll get off my lazy ass and find a better gasket i don't even know what fire polishing is...welding glass? Dood, First of all, nice work on the box, looks very promissing! A couple curiosity Q's: Are you just using that top exhast fan to suck fresh air through bottom intakes? Does that one exhast fan (and no intake fan) give you enough fresh air intake? What are your temps running with the one exhast? Gracias!
right now the box is too hot. the 265cfm hydrofarm cools the supersun hood, which is left open on the other side so that the fan is also circulating air through the box. we used 4" ducting because the hydro store included the adapters. this weekend i'm going back to help make some adjustments, so hopefully upgrading to 6" ducting will provide more air flow and keep the box at a decent temperature. i'll keep you updated.
Hmmmm it must be the undersize ducting. Because my blower is cooling the 400, 2 envirolights (these get hot) and 32 cubic feet of space, and my temps never get above 85....unless the blower craps out lol.Besure also to keep the dryer duct taught as possible, leaving less ribbing aka drag.
