Do any of you, like me, just have that one "stupid" animal?

This is Junie Bee. I love the hell out of her but she is the biggest PITA pet I have ever had. First, she has kittens at 6 months in a feral colony before I adopted her, so her first thing I can accept, KIND OF. She gorges her food every day and throws up and eats more. She had to compete and was starving, but it's been TWO YEARS cat, you don't have to fight for it anymore. When I got her, her name was Twiggy. She has been checked up and down, this cat just has the bulimia disorder, she binges and purges every day, on my carpet.

She also likes to rub her butt on the carpet like a dog with anal gland problems or a cat or dog with worms. Checked up and down, treated, nope this cat just like to rub her butt all over my carpet.

Scratching posts all over the house, nope, the carpet is her scratching post.

I love you Junie, but you are just damn stupid!!!! Or maybe just smart. Whatever, annoying!!!!!

I love cats more, I will say it, I am a cat person. Because USUALLY they are way easier. This cat, man, Junie you are so lucky to have me ;)

Wow, Canna..those pics are great, especially the first one. You have a gift.

Yes...my dog, Dessy is dumber than a box of rocks. VERY sweet and cute...but stupid, stupid, stupid. Of the many dogs Ive had, she's by far the least intelligent.

On the other hand, of all the many cats Ive had, my Kitty Girl is comparitively brilliant. She's 8 and prefers to live outside, mostly. I saw on Animal Planet that the average for an outdoor cat is 2 years. One whole winter, she refused to come in and survived on her own. She climbs trees, then BACKS down, while many cats have no idea how to get back down, once they've climbed up. She also goes with us on our walks-- It's so cute to see KG walking along behind us. It's weird. Evidently, our pets can vary as much in IQ as humans do.

My dog Dessy...will literally stand in the rain. Just.....stand there, looking pitiful and miserable...but cant seem to quite figure out that there's a simple fix. I have to literally pick her up and bring her in....then she looks SO grateful.

LOL your signature just made me laugh.

Thanks Dixie about the pics lol....crappy camera too. Wait until I have my big ass expensive one!

Dessy I love that name. If I ever have children, which may never actually happen, I have always wanted to name a boy Desmond and call him Desi! And thats the easy one, my poor kids, well seems I want all boys (Don't really want kids anyways, maybe 10 years), anyways, poor boys they will be. Desmond, Dimitri, and Salazar. In the USA. Pray for those eventual boys I never do have kids ;) And those are just their first names!

That is too cute, about the rain. Reminds me of my pit bull, she will pee 1 foot off the porch to avoid getting her feet wet. She has seen snow once before, about 1 inch of it. My poodle ran around jumping and rolling in it, the pitty walked in it like she was wearing booties for the first time and walking on nails....

you can prevent the gorging by not allowing 24-hour access to food and start a scheduled feeding regimen. I know some ppl frown on this(animal rights crap), but it's either that or clean up cat puke everyday.

Personally I prefer dogs and here's why. Cats are "independant". BS. They can be the messiest little buggers. You have to clean up the kitty litter after they kick it around all over the floor unless you spend good money on a friggin' dome. They are harder to discipline than dogs and act like the world revolves around them and their whacky annoying kitty quirks.

Dogs are eager to please. Easy to train. Will guard your property and you. Are more interactive companions.

Cats are really only good(realiably) for amusement and testing your patience.

Some arte good mousers, but many are absolutely worthless. Sorry to be negative, it's not that I hate cats, but dogs are just not as much hassel, regardless of what anyone says, and they are not nearly as self-centered as a cat.

I think cats are just harder to reset to train in the first place. I have two, one (Sumar) we got when she was a few months old, and the other (Loki) I literally raised since the time she was born.

Sumar is a bitch, and though not a dumb cat, she is the messy one who will gorge herself at times or poop in a corner if she is pissed off about anything.

Loki is a perfect cat, comes on command, I can get her to stand and sit, and I am working on shake.

True, Lion. A dog-minded cat is a wonderful thing.

I had one once that would play fetch. Little bastard was an attention whore and could become very annoying rather quickly, though.
