So I bought a Sulphur burner and ran it last night. Ran it for 6 hours, saw little flakes of it everywhere, what I haven't seen is PM. So what's the clean up procedure. Also, It still smells like rotten eggs in my garage. Don't mind really. I have aired it out and am about to go water, and examine the plants. Any input on this, wat do experience users do?
Hydrogen peroxide solution at about 3% should wash off any residue as well as treat for any lingering mildew spores plus it's great at removing odors. Mix it up and spray everything lightly and you'll be all clean.
I don't think you need to do it that long. I run mine for 3 and a half hours at night 3 days in a row, I do this now and then but stop 3 weeks before harvest. I never see any residue left or ever smell it and I am in a greenhouse 40 or 45 ft long, 14 wide and 12 tall, I could probly run it till harvest and no one would know, ( I haven't tasted it yet but like I said there is no sulfur smell anywhere). And I know if I don't do the sulfur it would get covered in PM.
In my veg room is where I am using mine at the moment. I have no experience using it in my flowering room yet. I run mine about 4 hours a night and have been for about 2 weeks straight. Lots of sulphur residue but it washes of with h2o2 solution. It seems to have done the trick for sure. I see no signs of PM on the plants now. I can finally get back to work! Sulphur works to deal with PM better than anything else I have tried. I'm hoping that from here on out all I will have to do is an occasional burn to maintain a PM free environment. Only time will tell though. :redbong:
Hey Ras, good to see you around. Glad to hear you're getting the pm under control. One question...Does the sulfur stink up your place permanently or does the smell fade after awhile?
It fades as long as you clean up the residue left afterwards. I use h2o2 solution which will disinfect & kill bacteria & fungus as well as combat odors. So far I don't even find the smell that offensive. If you've ever been to a hot spring your familiar with the smell of sulphur and to me that's what it smells like.
