Here's a quick-time marching cadence that I wrote for the troops in the middle east in hopes that they will sing it as they march into Bagdad. The words are set to the tune of that old bawdy cadence "Christopher Columbo." This one isn't as crude as the original, but I'm certain the troops will add many additional verses to this old marching favorite. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Ballad of Insane Hussein (to the tune of Christopher Columbo) (1) In nineteen-hundred and ninety-one Saddam was feeling cocky He marched his troops into Kuwait And said, "You're now Iraqi." (Refrain) He's got a spine like Jell-O We'll send him down to Hell-O Saddam Hussein is quite insane Besides the fact he's Yellow! (2) We kicked his ass out of Kuwait We sent the bastard packin' We left his own to finish him But sadly they were lackin' (Refrain) (3) For ten long years we played it cool And let the bastard linger For ten long years he raped Iraq And gave the world the finger. (Refrain) (4) He should have left when told to go And with his sons departed 'Cause now we're back in old Iraq To finish what he started! (Refrain) by Scott Ennis (former US Army Airborne Soldier)
