23 days into veg and they are startin to smelly like peppy lapew! I forgot who it was on this site but they told me that the church smells like canalopes lol. i'm gonna have to say not so. it's a cross between skunk, super skunk, and northern. So it's more like a skunk who gets sprayed by another skunk lol. I'm happy with the grow so far i guess eventhough i think they are moving slow. 1 plant has what looks like minor nute burn but is doin ok. Pics are on the way!!!
Heres the pics: Heres the mum room. Simple cardboard box with a fluro. The mom seems to be growing better than the rest for some reason. I plan on ditching the other plant in there. Heres the other 4. 24 days old. Still veggin: this one seems to have some nute burn Hygrade28g. I see your having a successful church grow. anything you'd like to chime in about?
i don't know about sucsessful,mine are kinda screwed right now,but yours seem healthy though,if a little small for 23 days,but it is a slow grower for sure.mine still haven't really started stinking yet unless you touch them.how long have they been vegging under the hps for?keep some pics up bro and good luck
you should try filling your buckets all the way to the top with soil. You will increase your yield without adding more space
I switched from the MH to HPS about 10 days ago because the MH bulb was old and the HPS was a new bulb
i vegged mine under cfls,seemed to do alot more for the foliage than the hps,it just thickened the stems,but mh has got to be better than cfls.never had the pleasure of owning one.side by side with trainwreck,the church is really slow to grow but i've heard nothing but good things about it.what soil are you using?and i see the cool tube,no problems with heat with the light being that close?i would've bet that reducer would've caused some heat,i have a 400watt hps in a cool tube and any reducers i put on it killed my temps,i had to use a 6"to7" reducer backwards to mount my fan to.oh yeah,i waited 5 weeks to flower,but they weren't much bigger than that,the only real difference is i tied mine down and pinched them a little.let me know how it goes
The temps are perfect at 78 degrees. i have the fan blowing through the cool tube. it works better than pulling. and like i said in a previous post, my mother plant is growing faster under a fluro than the 4 under the hps are. it wont let me upload that pic for some reason. and i dont know why its growing bigger? maybe its spending energy to grow bigger leaves for more surface area because the light is weaker. who knows.
pushing the air huh?i was told to pull it,i may have to try that then.as for the floro,it beats me.like i said,mine under the cfls look alot better than those in flower.i have a friend that is growing as well and his leaves and plants get way bigger than do mine,we are under the assumption that the leaves stay smaller for me because they have so much fresh air and wind blowing on them,where his get larger to be able to get more o2.same type of deal i think.maybe we're all wrong.
You might be right about the fresh air cause as you can see in the pic of the mother room there is absolutly no circulation.

The plant is bent a lil cause I had to tie it down or else it would've been to close to the light. First time in the new closet lol.
looks good and frosty.beware,it packs as much of a buzz as it does stink.don't plan on doing anything else for a few hours.i love the church and plan on keeping it for a while.well,enjoy it xtc

First and foremost for the yield but you did mention hight issues as well... Cheers on your grow and may there be many more! Grat
The Church is a super fast grower in my garden. One of the frostiest by far. As I've said, It won't ever leave my garden.
