I saw this done on another site and thought it would be fun to do as a community, let us all talk about this and come up with a set of rules for size and how to start said plant, medium used, possible strain if that's an option...etc...

I was thinking a single serving yogurt container??? all the same brand of course, so were all on the same playing field.. We all don't really need to start on the same day but we should have a window of "dried product" to shoot for, like a 2 week window maybe??

I dunno lets hear some ideas from GK and see what we can do, if yinz are even interested

I've grown 3 foot plants, nice sized bushes, in solo cups using coco as a medium but they never made it to flower. Set up a drip system and feed multiple times a day. I'm pretty sure I could get an oz. I'd go with that as a start. Just my suggestion, but I'm opting out, I have my own grow problems to deal with.

I Am game, i like tyring new things. Single sized yogurt cups are small but a challenge is where the minds come out of the boxes to overcome.

It can be done, last year I flowered out a runt clone in a solo cup just for shits N giggles. It'll be another month before I'll be able to get things going again but it sounds like a fun contest...

I don't think I she gave me more than a couple of grams but she was a cutie pie :)

Big hairy fat one here. :321fu: I don't have the time or the stuff needed to do it right.

So are we talking either soil or hydro or hempy or coco, or any of the above? I can take one of the cats old litter boxes and make a mini ebb + flow table.:roffl:

But seriously I assume the root system will have to be contained within the confines of the cup. And some of us aren't at the grow site every day so something that doesn't require daily watering. But whatever the majority agrees on is cool with me.

And a winning prize of a PM from the other contestants containing :good job::not-worthy: should be enough to make it worth while.

I'd say use a 4 week window. Gives everybody some room to work with.

Coming up with a secret plan......

AB grew a plant in a prescription bottle. It was the coolest thing. Threads on here somewhere.

    I'd like to do it.

    whats the consensus here?

I was thinking of something fairly small but able to not have to be watered every 12 hours, cuz a few of us are not at our grows fulltime like that

maybe like a 16oz plastic cup of something like ricotta cheese or sour cream, some thing along that size would work better maybe?

How about these for the rules? :jj:

1 - Must grow in a 16oz container. What type doesn't matter (soup can, beer cup, vaseline jar, etc), but it must be 16 oz. That way, I don't have to go buy anything.

2 - Roots cannot grow out of the container. If they do, they must be cut off. That keeps people from using the cup as a net pot in a DWC set up.

3 - Grow medium can be anything that suits your style (soil, clay, ball hair, etc.)

4 - Must start from seed. Clones would be cheating.

5 - Must post updates at least once every 1 or 2 weeks.

6 - Must be finished by August 1st. That's about 4.5 months from now and gives everyone time to get set up, veg, and flower.

    Comments? Questions? Additions? Subtractions?

I'm cool with everything but the 'seed' part. To have to order seeds?? Maybe I'm the only one who doesn't have extra seeds laying around. I do have a couple Blue Cheese freebies left but to possibly waist the good pheno on the contest and loose the strain??

I think I've got a hook up on some seed but damn that's gonna take forever. Flowering before they start to alternate, hard to tell what you'll get. A couple weeks into flower and find nut sacks hanging? A clone would eliminate that!!

Just what I need, a reoccurring nightmare. :5eek: All the therapy :bduh: and the mind altering drugs.:roffl: Life would never be the same, so just go ahead and put me out of my misery!!Admin lynching

I haven't grown for a few years and all my mother plants have died. I just got some seeds from Sannie's and The Attitude. I guess we can make it seeds and clones. Actually, that would be interesting to see how they would grow differently.

So how about seeds and freshly cut clones. That way the seed people would have some time to catch up while you guys wait for roots. :coolbounce:

I'm going to be running 12/12 from seed. Now I just need to figure out how I'm going to grow. I need to make up a new grow box.

I have a blue hash plant i got started 3 weeks ago in a 16 oz beer cup. Can i use it or start fresh with new seed?

Are we all starting at same time or is it mainly just the growing container size?
