Went to the wilderness today to set up my plots by transporting soil amendments, 90lbs if it. 2 plots over a bog and 3 over our usual terrain. Total of 50 gallons of soil. Boy was it more work than I imagined. 2.5 hours later i'm drenched with sweat, out of water, fatigued, and near exhaustion. I got lost a few times also while hauling 10gals of soil. I only finished 20% :5headache: , the 2 plots over the bog, and it was supposed to be do or die, I died. And i almost got spotted by a pair of rednecks in what seemed like a homemade humvee, 10 yrds away and seened the guys eyes, with me in the bush, they stopped by my parked car, checking it out and then left. I dashed toward my car with the rest of the load on my back and the last of my strength. So now I have to get the other 3 plots ready and transplant the plants within 2 days, while dodging the curious rednecks. I've learned: 1- Bring more water, I had two 20oz. 2- Bring a snack. 3- Take a good break. 4- Do work ahead of time. Ok, I feel vented
haha must feel nice to get that out of your system huh? guerilla growing can be fun but risky at the same time. good luck on it bro.
Farming is work indoors and out. My freinds say ya got it for free so give it up. They dnt know the work it takes.
I agree with both of ya'll. Yesterday I completed the prep in 1.5 hours, didn't need to transport soil this time since it's out the bog, just amendments. It sucks trying to get off your ass with weight on your back and every limb you grab snaps while trying to keep your balance on debris. Blood and sweat went into this day. Today I completed the operation. I transplanted the babes. Everything was going smoothly. When I tried to pull out with my car, I didn't get anywhere, my tire was axle deep in the dirt. After 45 minutes of digging and jacking the car up and down, I was free. This is the most difficult outdoor grow for me yet. Outdoor growing ain't easy.
...inside comes out... ...DaB... ...Don't ya' just love rednecks...in all their redneck glory... ...Say, it sounds as if you start'd yer' plants indoors before takin' them out to the plots...btw, refresh me memory...watt's a bog?... ...I only wish I could help...it sounds like with two people it would have went a lil'til quicker...and perhaps more smoothly...sucks to hear you were stuck upon leavin' this last time... ...So if you don't mind sharin'...watt strains are you experimentin' with on this outdoor project...just curious...and if you don't mind sharin'...'bout how far along in veg did you have these kids before takin' them on the ride... ...Hope yer' efforts prove to be super-sized in their yields...maybe a pix later on down the road for us here at GK...that would be visually-correct. ...three cheers to yer' plan... ...DC...:new_scatter:
Ah, that was you up in dem der hollars, I just went to get's me banjo, I's a comin rite back and you wasa gon.
It's nerve wrecking hearing them buzz around on their four-wheelers and other vehicles, and i always hear dogs. & I forgot to mention, I vomitted at the grow spot from having a strong green tea with a cig on an empty stomach first thing in the morning with adrenaline and lots of sweating going on. It felt like boot camp. The plants are from seed, 2 bag seed, 1 white rhino, 8 purple widow, half are showing preflowers. They were started indoors under one 25w CFL then added another bulb 2 weeks before I moved them out, they are 31-37 days old. Most have been topped twiced. What I call a bog is this 3 acre area near the river where the ground is nothing but composted moss, feels spongy, looks and smells rich, but has too much moisture content, sitting water a foot under the surface. So I placed 2 10gallon grow bags in the bog, sitting on the surface to allow roots to grow into the bog thru the bottom of the bag. There are 2 plants in one bag and 3 in the other. The other site is sandy soil where 3 10gallon bags are buried with 2 plants per bag. I freakin mixed my strains up:5headache: , never fails. I know where one bag seed is but not the other nor the white rhino. Pics are in my gallery from when indoors. When the babes get settled and begin real growth then i'll update with pics.
