turn or don't turn - that is the question

does anyone here rotate their plants? say, in a typical setup a light is in the middle, there's one or a few plants directly underneath, and then a perimeter of plants - do you turn the ones on the outside so that light gets to everything? or perhaps let the one side get way fat, and say fuck the popcorn on the other side???

Rotate that shit. Ive been moving them around and rotating them every couple days. Its like a light mover, only with the plants instead. Makes all the difference in the world, unless you're running SOG perpetual style and just don't give a shit. Spin them babies like yo' favorite CD baby...

so far the only time i move plants is if one is too close or tall, and getting light burn, i'll swap it with a shorter one. i've only got 5-6 plants in a tent, so it's not too hard to turn, but i see these potentially fatty buds on "the dark side" and i want them to get more light! problem is, i'm starting to have to tie up my main colas - i'd shit if i forgot the tie, turned it around, and popped a big fat bud off the top!!!! :angry7:


i think i'll just let it ride, what i get's what i get.....

I usually spin my outer plants once a week. It def helps if you have stake supports.

 

We rotate a quarter to a half turn every day or so, it makes a difference for sure.

 

Yes i do....its a matter of love so i do not mind the xtra work.


I do however hang a bulb in the middle of them verticle


I like the 360 effect

 

I'll move the girls every chance I get. Be it rotating them or swaping them around. Not only does it improve them, IMO, but it gets you to look at them


all over. You may see something you may have missed if they were always


in the same place.


Besides, being hands on gets you closer to the plants. Both physically and


metaphsically. Deep huh?????

i move/rotate my plants every day sometimes more than once if i see the tops bending too much towards the light.

i wish i could tend to my plants more, but i don't go out there but every few days, when it's water time. i hate the fact that my grow is in a fuckin shed.... it's the last time we are doing it this way though, we've already got plans for an in-house grow room downstairs! i'd love to go down there all the time and tend to my girls - i'm pretty obsessive about my plants, too!!!

I move them more than I rotate them. One day underneath, one day back left, next day front right, etc. I pull mine out to water so I just put them back in a different spot everytime.
