Had to go out of town right after putting my NL #5 into 12/12. Came back 7 days later and out of 7 plants only three are definate females. The others are either males or have some chateristics of both. Does anyone think these guys pollinated that quick?? Would I be better off maturing all 7 plants? At least I'd have a good supply of seeds. How bad would this effect quantity and strength of buds??
Well, depends on what u want. If you DO want those seeds then yea, keep the males in there but remove those hermies. And if you DONT want seeds in ur buds then remove everything thats not a female. If they did pollinate then still remove the males and hermies and hope u dont get seedy buds.
you should give them at least 2 weeks to show what sex they are, some will show faster than others. I've seen it take up to 3 weeks for sex to show.. Be patiant. It helps when you can post pics with your question. make sure you remove the males before they pollinate the female's unless you want seedy bud. If you have some good females out of the grow than take some clipings before they start budding and clone them than you will know that the next grow is all females. later dude
Since my male to female ratio is so lopsided (7 to 3) can you still get decent quantity and quality of smoke from leaving them? I've smoked many a seedy weed in my life.
A buddy go one hundred and twenty seeds from two shity little seadling I gave him in July. THey were between a fence and a neighbors shed. Plus about a quarter oz. So while it will hinder the yeild, you shoud be able to get more then him, with a good set up. This coming outdoor season we will have over 200 plants from last seasons seeds.
