Here is what I have for my first hydro grow, I know its not muck but Im willing to buy everything I need to get a successful hydro harvest in a few months from now. So if you sees something I dont have that will help me than tell me pleez. This is the container Ive cut holes into and placed some grow pots. Do I got the right Idea? WHAT KINDA LIGHT SHOULD I BUY FOR MY FIRST HYDRO GROW? WHERE CAN I GET IT LOCALY? SOMETHING UNDER 100 BUCKS? AND WHERE DO I GET A CO2 GENERATOR FOR UNDER $70? WHATS A BUBBLER,WHERE DO I BUY THOSE LITTLE PEBBLES TO PLACE INTO THE POTS FOR VEG? DO I FILL THE CONTAINER WITH PURIFIED WATER? SOMEONE EXPLAIN ALL THERE IS TO EXPLAIN PLEAZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heres my closet corner that I will be growing in. I plan to cut a couple of holes for ventalation, and Co2 injection in the next couple of days, so I am coming to the source to find out what else I need to get a great harvest. O and do any of you guys know what kinda plant would be ideal for this type of grow? Small dense, sweet smelling plant that thrives in hydro. SOMEONE EXPLAIN ALL THERE IS TO EXPLAIN PLEAZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lo there,am no expert ,but,heres a list of things i bought for my first hydro grow. 1x600w metal halide----£250...for veging and flower 4x oxy pots including air stone and pump----£30 each 1x ballast----£150 1x 3 speed fan----£30 2x timers----£15 each 1x ph tester----£70 roll of myler/rockwool/grow/bloom nutes----£50 grand total of £700 not that cheap i know but,when you can grow about £1400 worth of weed in 3month,its well worth the investment i grow for personal , i sell to a hand full of friends at knock down prices just to cover my overheads , elec ,nutes,etc... if you have the right enviroment and temp, you carnt go wrong. just keep an eye on things and change water reg(i personaly change mine every 5 days) good luck with first grow heres a link to pic of my first grow http://www.growkind.com/marijuana/gardens/1861/
I can probly make about another foot and a half more of space, but one plant wouldent be bad. Im still tryin to get a few more grows until I get my own house to grow 50 plants or more, but until then this is what I got, do you think that container would work?
yes ,carnt see why not . i'd still go with the one plant though that seems to be a good size container for a good sized plant try using rockwool,very hard to over water i find. you would need 1x 1x1 cube and 1x 4x4 cube for each plant ,about £1 each. got to be easier than using pebbles

I don't see any reason starting two plants in that container, you can always move up to a larger one if you need to. I say this simply because if you're not planning on using feminized seeds and you start one plant and it's a male, you've just wasted alot of time and effort, so at least if you start with two, you have better odds, besides, the containers are relativly inexpensive as far as hydro components are concerned.I usually start 4 in a 5 gallon and move up to a 25 if necessary depending on how many I keep. You're going to want to get some net pots also, the ones you have in there won't allow enough airation and won't allow the roots to grow through freely. Best bet is to look up a local greenhouse supply of hydro shop and explain to them your setup and what you're trying to do (omitting your choice of crop obviously). I find they can be very helpfull. Only other suggestion I can make is to use two seperate air pumps and stones using a bubler system. I had a diaphragm tear on my air pump last year and it dosn't take long without air for things to go down hill quick. Good Luck
