I was tidying up my grow area this afternoon (plants are nitey-nite time right then) and I somehow pushed through one of my zippers on my tent, and it split apart. (I've been having issues with this zipper busting open for a while now) My sleepy girls got a little bit of light in there, for a few seconds. They are about halfway through flower right now. It's not very bright at all in my grow area, I have one of those really skinny 18" long flouros on the ceiling, but it did get some direct light in the tent for about 5 seconds. Is this really going to hurt my plants? I've read about how any amount of light at all is enough to send them back to veg (?) or something like that, or throw off their cycle. Is 5 seconds really going to wreck my shit? Or is it just something that's not good to do? GTWT :XXhippylove:

Not at all. Everything will be just fine.:thumbs-up: That is just not true. The smallest amount of light will not send them back to veg. I've screwed up my cycle and left my lights on for five days right in the middle of flower one time. No problems. I go in my growroom during lights out from time to time. I have a green light in there, but they get a bit of light exposure as I go in and out.
You don't want to have light leaks on a regular basis, like every day. However, a blast of light for a few seconds a couple of times during the entire flowering season should not cause any problems.
i have had notice that my apt will be inspected, twice this month, so, the first time, i ended up switching my light pattern by 12 hours...ie;night turns to day...hdecided to leave them in dark for 24, instead of lights on for 24and it worked out ok, light are on at night now, so i dont get to visit them as often, (the worst part) but then, a few days later, we got another notice they wanted to lookyloo around, so i put clones amd short veggies into sterilite totes, and stacked 'em up in the closet. my girls in flower, (6weeks in) i double bagged there heads, and stashed them ..one behind a chair, (i know, im insane)and the other in the closet behind my ak'z, and my suits.....well, my apt never gopt looked at, (they were looking @10% of the total units)...but between the bagged heads, and the light switchin' , i was worried..cant afford no hermies...(just because of the way i decided to get my garden out of my apt during inspections.
