Howdy, first off thank you guys for advice on germing. All 5 super skunks, and all 5 wonder woman sprouted. Got 8 out of the 10 out of the soil as of tuesday, pretty sure the other two will come out too lol (fingers crossed) Question is, when exactly is the start/stop of week one? Is it from the time they pop out of the dirt? Or from the time of first leaves? gonna start fox farm feed schedule so i know for sure. Also, them little sweeties popped on tuesday,i had them sittin on top of my frig, worked an 18 hour shift came home went to bed, got up and they started stretchin big time for the kitchen light, they are 4 inches tall, but all stem. I got my light about 3'' above them now, but think they gonna be all right?
I start counting days from when they break through the soil. I wouldn't start feeding any nutes until the first little leaves fall off. Start off slowly with the nutes. Go with 1/4 strengh and work your way up. Just my opinion. Peace.....
If you have room in your pots you can put more dirt and cover up that stretched stem. You can go all the way up to just below the first leaves. If not, you may have to do something to support them until they stiffen up. Try to get a small fan on them too. The constant wind will stiffen those little buggers up quick. Good luck with your grow :beerchug-2:
so week 1 of the feeding schedule is exactly that, week one of your feeding schedule, not week one of the plant's life?
Day 1 is when the plant stuck its head out of the ground. When its time to transplant. You want to plant the plant deep so you bury the stem. You can even bury it past its first set of leaves or 2.
I'm thinking you may have misworded your question, slightly, so just in case you have I felt I'd include that Week #1 of your feeding schedule is usually after it has developed a few sets of serrated leaves. I usually start feeding just as the third set is starting to show.
For me, when referring to plant age, week 1 starts when they break ground. When referring to nute schedules, week 1 starts whenever I think they need to start getting nutes. :-welcome-: asssit:
Awesome, thank you fer clearin that up for me. yeah i assumed by the feed schedule that it was week 1 of the plant's life. phew ok i wait to start feedin the girls, thanks again guys.
Sure, they'll be fine! They MAY droop or even fall over sideways due to the stretch, but dont worry---they WILL stand up straigh as the stalk gets stronger. IF they do fall over, put a toothpick or match or whatever UNDER them, so they dont touch the surface of the soil. SOME folks will pinch the stalk, gently wounding it---because as the "booboo" heals, the stalk will get thicker. To pinch or not to pinch is up to you. Dont feed at all first couple weeks, IMO--then use 1/4 strength. Happy growing! Ive got one Wonder Woman about 11 days old from seed. Man, is she lovely. She's about five times bigger than the Super Lemon Haze I started at the same time--she really IS a Wonder. Dixie
thanx dixie, real stoked bout the wonderwoman. first set of leaves were 1/2'' yesterday, this morning they well over an inch. read all this info and faq's and guess i the type that takes stuff different ways, "does it mean this, or that, or this. lol dont know for sure, but thinkin it might be the weed lol. peace brothers

I put an oscillating fan on mine and it was almost blowing them over. In just one day the plants stiffened right up.
