I'm curious if any of yall could give me a couple pointers to help me get the biggest buds possible. assit:
bright lights, fresh ph balanced water, your love and attention and possibly some c02... There are no real pointers when you are in tune with your grow, big buds will come. So read your way around the site. I also recommend reading a few of the grow bibles. The Links to free online grow bibles is in the FAQ section. There is no easy answer to your question...DSP
Even light distribution. If you train your plant so all the branches are growing up at the same level they will all be nice big buds, and no bottom skimpy buds. Other than that tend to every need your plant has, and if you don't know how, read the FAQ.
Ok, I have been an outdoor grower for years, and have experimented with this, and for the most part with GREAT success. What i do is train my plants to run parallel to the ground instead of vertical. Learn the basics of LST and just train your plant so it runs parallel to the ground but doesn't touch the ground. this gives MAXIMUM exposure to the sun and it turns every branch into a nice cola. As an added bonus, this keeps the plant only 2-3 feet high so it doesnt stick out like a sore thumb (christmas tree style) If you happen to have a monster plant, you may even need to train the side branches, not just the main stem. Just picture a 6 or 7 foot wide plant only 2-3 feet high. It is amazing. Just to warn you I have run into some problems with this. - It seems animals are more attracted to the lower plants! - Keep your plant OFF the ground, doesnt have to be too high, a couple inches will do. - Some strains do not respond well with this technique. But let me tell you, it is well worth a try. I'm surprised I don't see this technique used more in outdoor grows. I plan to start posting some of my outdoor pictures soon, if i feel comfortable. If not they will be up after harvest for sure. Anybody know of anyone else who uses this technique? Pictures anyone? Cheers
It's all about... LOW STRESS TRAINING....make your plant have 20 tops.... LOOK AT MY PICTURE(s)/avatar...BIG plant = BIG BUDS if you do it right. That plant produced 6 ounces. I laugh my ass off when people talk about "topping" their plants...IMO it's the most USELESS "trick" a grower can do...just "top" your plant by bending it over! it's more than a top when you think about it...
Well my dad is addicted to it as well bud...lol Used to be so against it and love to just grow organically, but I have to admit that shit works like a charm and yep>>>big buds. Also if you do not over use it and as another member stated, only every so many feedings it is fine. Plus when you flush them GOOD before harvesting....it's all good.
