Santa (me) bought me a lighter fuel powered Zippo hand warmer, if you all know what that is. It's no big thing, but I had one when I was a grade school kid delivering newspapers after school in the winter way back in the day, so it's got sentimentalish value. Also, most people here use these one-use disposable hand warmers and they are just unnecessarily wasteful, I think, so I like the re-usable one that will keep going for many years, I hope. It's not even that cold here.
My oldest son snuck off with my father's 348 model 71 winchester rifle which had sat in the back of my mothers closet for years after his death. Had some rust on it and in general looked pretty bad. He did a very professional restoration on it and last night I opened a package containing a gun sheath. When I opened it up there it was, gleaming like brand new. I was totally shocked and it brought tears to my eyes. That weapon was purchased back in 1953 by my father. He even included a box of shells for it which he told me that the company only manufactures once a year. The rifle fires a 250 grain bullet and the damn thing will knock a grizzly on its ass. I know one thing, when I am gone, Brian gets that rifle. I do not hunt any more but that is one of the most poignant gifts I have ever received. BBT
I got a nice chess board. Japanese samurai carved playing pieces, with lovely little draws underneath to keep them in. Its going straight into the games room in the next house. :bravo:
My chrome Smith and Wesson .45 caliber 1911Sc and my Smith and Wesson M&P-15-22 (AR-15 Model) Semi-Automatic Rifle. I luvs my guns! Luvs my guns!
I'm not sure what I'd call the best of what i got... a really hickish version of the farside gallery called 'hilarious hunting jokes'.. and none of it is hilarious. Cook-book, digital prssure cooker, heating pad, chocolate berry seeds from bredder's choice on sannie's shop, and a Sebian Film which is described as 'rape of the soul'. Ever since Skuzzi mentioned it here I'd been begging for it. I also was gifted early by my wife with a few books that I've been lusting after for a while. AAS Pilot's textbook, the Lucifer Effect, and Where the Is. Those are probably my favorites.
I think I have to change my answer.... Best present was spending the evening getting my ass handed to me playing "hungry, hungry hippos" and Kinect Bowling by a couple of kids Best present a dad can ask for

Yes, very lucky indeed. I know my dad was smiling down on all of us last night. When the weather clears a bit we are going to go out in the mountains and bust a few caps. I swung it up to my shoulder last night. That rifle has a beautiful balance and a great sight. Ear plug time Take care, BBT
I got a new little 6gal compressor with porter cable 16g nailer and a custom authentic steelers jersey a new 8 gallon mash tun and a bayou burner. I got the boys 4x4x8" "lego's" they are in heaven building forts and shit anyone with kids 5-10 will love them. They're recommended for toddlers but I can't see a 3 year building a 2 wall fort with windows. http://www.amazon.com/Kids-Adventure-Beginner-Jumbo-Block/dp/B0042RUT5S/ref=sr_1_32?ie=UTF8&qid=1324954879&sr=8-32 I love that my kids are getting old enough to play with stuff I can enjoy as well. Not to say I'm not into laying on the floor with trucks and shit but red brick sized legos are friggin neat...Steelcity
We don't do presents anymore, so my best present was a lovely meal with my brother and his wife. I did, however, get a present for myself- a pack of Kiwi Seeds Congo Haze.
