Since I keep a lid on things around here as for what crops I propagate, you folks become the main source as far as who knows what all is going on around here. So, I hope you don't mind me just being proud and sharing some photos of my first grow, which is coming to a successful end. Two of the photos below I've had to shrink about 1/12th the actual size to post here. The one of the trichomes close up is merely a tiny cropped portion of the leaf in the center of one of the other pictures. I have a 10x and a 4x macro lens for my camera that I can stack, to get quite a nice magnification. Thanks to all who have helped contribute to my knowledge over the past 16 weeks. I went from knowing ZERO about growing, to being extremely comfortable with what I'm doing. I've learned immensly more here in 4 months on one subject than I ever did in high school or college. *Which makes you biatches some fine teachers. I'll be damned, the horrible things pot does to a mind.... right. It opens the mind, allows new ideas to be brought to light, and brings a since of peace to the community. (Where else do you see forums and discussions where no curse words are thrown around and each other, arguments over things that have no relevance don't occur, nobody is made to feel inferior etc. I'm an intelligent man, that shares little with others because so many can't wait to get the next word out of their mouth, they are too busy to listen to what others have to say. :beerchug-2: You, my friends don't fit the clique. You just haven't been in the Politics section enough.... LOL. Glad to see you finishing up your first grow. You will certainly enjoy your first smoke of home-grown and cured bud. Great pictures too! Politics... oh Lord I stay out of political discussion as much as possible. I have extreme opinions (yet I do keep an open mind) about one side, and the other side.... well, I might not even associate with them if I knew their stance. It's unfortunate how difficult it is two find two or more people of different parties be able to have a discussion where (here is the important part) one person shuts his/her mouth and actually listens to what the other says, and considers it. Then the other person states an opinion while the other listens without interrupting and actually considers (hmmm maybe I should study up, maybe I've been wrong) what that person is saying might be in the right. People get too set in their ways, close their minds, and that ends their ability to learn and take on new ideas of varying opinions. So, even though I'm in to politics, I try and stay out unless I'm in my cubicle with my black marker on election day. Obviously you can see I'm even a bit guilty of thinking my opinion is right. When you do find a good debate by opposite sides where they actually respect each other, will shake hands and still be friends after the debate, but not waiver on their stance it's fun to see... simply because it so extremely rare.
We pot heads are as varied as the rest of society. But we do love our weed and growers sharing knowledge will be the eternal glue that keeps us united despite our differences. Unless of course....nope...huh.....won't ruin the mood. (fucking hang over from Prop 19 failure) Good on your first harvest. It will be the BEST weed you've ever toked because it's all yours. cheers,
