Being that the child is 12, Im pretty sure that his or is it her mom put her up to this. He probably played with girl toys and raised as a girl from a very young age. I think 12 is too young to determine by yourself with no outside influence that your transgender.
I think people need to worry about their own selves and mind their effing business about other people. Are you transgender? No? Then you don't have a clue what you are talking about. When you were her age I am pretty sure you were able to answer "are you a boy or a girl?". It has nothing to do with 'parts'. When people judge it really says a lot about them.
I have nothing against transgender people, I would just think that would be something you would decide for yourself after you had some adult life experience. Boy this forum is getting tense lately, can't we all just get along?
One thing I've noticed for sure is that the people that support this kind of thing love to consider themselves morally superior and they call anyone who simply has a natural, gut level negative reaction to this kind of biological aberration 'ignorant' or something similar. I feel like I'm looking at a baby born with no limbs, or something. From like a prehistoric, primal, tribal point of view, some people are born that just aren't going to work out. Concerning transgender people in general, there is definitely something abnormal about their brain chemistry or genes, but whatever, it doesn't affect me any and adults don't bother me at all. But this boy, it just creeps me out and I have to wonder how much of this is biological and how much is social? 5 seems a bit young to be making decisions about switching your gender. :icon_confused:

I could really care less what people do as long as it's not affecting me. I have a couple of gay male friends and although my personal belief is that it's wrong, I do accept that they can make wrong choices and as long as it's not a wrong choice that hurts others it's not my place to judge them for it. Now that is concerning adults.... Concerning this kid. It does seem strange. If I had kids I don't htink I would necessarily be comfortable with them being around this kid or their family. That's a personal choice based on a personal opinion and I think just as they are free to do this or allow their kids to do this. I am free to have the opinion that it's weird and wrong. asssit: Just an opinion.
So at what age did you guys decide you were straight? When I was 12, I already knew I was an atheists, drank alcohol, and smoked cigs, all on my own doing. I made that decision at that age and didn't get into trouble because I was smart enough to know what I was doing. But DAMNED if I can remember choosing to be straight.
Plus the idea you CHOOSE your sexual orientation or gender is behavioral psychology, which is bullshit in the first place.
Anything can be programmed into a young person. Look at the Lynx an Lamb Gaede from the band Prussian Blue. They were raised as neo nazis and were staunch supporters and their music was all about that message. They were performing at white pride rallies when they were just preteens and all through their teens. Then once they tried smoking weed their whole world changed. Things they thought they believed seemed different to them and now they are all about peace and love.
I'm not gonna sit here and say being gay or transgender should mean you are mistreated as a human being. Should they be able top get married? Have kids? Blah Blah Blah? I'm not here to say they should have less rights or any of that. Just that I personally don't like it.
Programming is different then behavioral elements deciding your gender. No parent in the world would wish that kind of hate and life long fight on their child, just like I hope my kid doesn't end up or have to end up an activists for many issues. I am doing the dirty work now so that she doesn't have to worry. I simply can not believe that any parent would WISH and try to promote such an agenda on any child, more so our generation with the fight the LGBT(Q) community is having right now. But at the least, if you don't like it, I am glad you acknowledge that we should all have the same rights no matter what we choose as our lifestyle in that way. That I respect. You don't have to like it. I don't like a lot of things in the south but I don't have the street cred or money to do anything but act like a good person and hope that kind of behavior actually changes someone's mind.

There are studies coming out every month on that, in the direction that it is genetic. But no, there is nothing definitive I can find to change your mind on that. I will say this: If homosexuality and same-sex parenting happens in nature (Penguins, other birds, Giraffe, other species) , why is it so hard to believe it is a natural thing for gender-bending? We are nothing but animals, why wouldn't we have a small percentage of the population be LGBT(Q)?
I don't think it so much a choice as it is who you are. I strongly believe a gay person was born gay and that one sex can be trapped in the wrong body. I have family members and friends who are gay and they are just people. No need to single them out or put them in a different category. Life is way too short to worry about that shit.
