Automatic Fire Extinguisher

    You can check local marine supply stores to see if they carry auto fire extinguishers to avoid the shipping and hazmat fees.

    Has anyone purchased one of these yet? It seems like the cheapest mail order including shipping is around $200.

    takes more them 110* to trigger an auto system that is set up properly.

    I'll be picking up one or two of these "over-temp" outlets and a portable extinguisher, in the very near future.

    The Flame Defenders trigger at 155ºF (68ºC), so they wouldn't be good for an attic.
     
  10. My local hydro shop carries the flame defenders, and actually match the prices I have seen online. I will most likely be picking up 1 or 2 after my little scare with the HTG ballast last week

    I'd prefer it to be
    above the cabs but it's a lot better than no protection at all.
