take a 5gal bucket, drill a ton of 1/8th inch holes in it or smaller, but id vary the sizes a lil to ensure itll drain fast

Ya, that's exactly what I need to find, small mesh strainer type thing. Thanks!

Very nice method, I'll do that when I do the larger quantities. I just need to fill up party cups for now. Thanks CC.

They look great. That scrog should start flowing soon. Be sure to monitor how many things you have plugged into that multi cord plug especially since you have a 1000w on there. Feel your wall panels where your plugs go if any are overly warm or hot you have problems comming. Looking good!

Buy yourself a cheap plastic bowl strainer.

You guys so funny!:roffl: You know I don't know shit about hydro, but why haven't you guys tried this?

Take two five gallon utility buckets. Cut the bottoms out. Wrap one bucket with window screen half way up. Nest the screen wrapped bucket into the unwrapped bucket to hold the screen in place. Fill with perlite stand it in the shower and let er rip.

5 gallon buckets are alittle lg. for the kitchen sink and I don't have a tub; just a stand-up shower.

RR you have to hot glue them in, have one at the grow. The easier way with out glue is the tote as I mentioned

If you are running multi buckets use a tote and do four 5 gallon buckets at a time...this is from experience. You'll spend all day with a strainer if doing 20 gallons of perlite....but you almost have to with the small perlite..thats why I prefer chunky

I wash 10-15 gallons at a time and use a bowl strainer. Sucks, but I get it done.

Really for week #3 they look great? Awesome! The 1000W isn't plugged into that strip, it goes on it's own dedicated 15 AMP breaker, the 400W, all pumps, and other shit on another 15 AMP breaker. I looked it up and my 1K draws 9 Amps. I could fit a bit more on there, but I'm not to stay on the safer side. Thanks T6

    Got 1. ;)

Ya, this is similiar to what CC suggested, and probably will do once I need to rinse larger quantities.

Okay I got the amount of perlite I need rinsed. I used two different strainers just to see the difference. Strainers:

Here are the cups I got: (The SOLO ones)

So now I rinsed the perlite with just straight tap water, and my tap water is horrible, so do I need to wait for the perlite to dry before placing the seedlings in the party cups, and then water with PH adjusted RO water? I know the perlite has just absorbed my shitty tap water.

Edit: I didn't use the MG perlite, like you guys said, just stuck with the hydro store stuff, and took the other shit back to Lowes.

If your water is that bad, I'd let it dry for a day or two.

On a different note: I never took you for a high heels kinda guy.

    Peace....

What's that mean? Prob gonna re-rinse with r.o. water. When I do the big amount I'll rinse with tap and let it dry for a few days like you suggested. Went to lowes and bought aluminum screening for rinsings the large amounts.

The shoe's are kinda cute though, matching panties??:flipando:

Don't rerinse, just let air dry or if you already put it in your bucket let sit for a while then tip it over so it drains out the whole
