My opinion about the temps: You said that you're thinking of letting fresh (cold) air in from outside and exhausting into the same room. If there's no other options, you can do that. I have to do the same thing in the winter months to prevent very low temperatures. Its not an optimal solution, but it seems to work fine for me. The only tricky part is keeping temps from dropping too low during lights off. To try to control that a bit, I'm using an exhaust fan that dims the fan speed automatically once it drops below a certain temp (this can become a problem during full flowering, because the air won't get properly scrubbed). On top of that I also exhaust my veg tent, which is on 24 hours, into the same room; and when it gets really cold, I'll even go as far as exhausting my veg tent directly into the flowering tent. Sounds complicated and unstable, but it works for me, with this method I can keep the temps very steady, as long as I adjust my methods to the different outside temps.

Sounds great. I think it's been over a week, and I think a transplant will happen very shorty. The runt is coming around and getting bigger, that's a plus.

    NP bud.

Yes, this was exactly what I was trying to do last night, but epicly failed in my face. I took the exhausts down from the window, opened the window all the way (39F outside) and came back into the room in an hour and it was so fucking hot in there. I would need multiple windows in the room to be able to get the ambient temps low enough to combat how much damn heat comes out of that duct work.

For a quick but temporary fix you could run a duct from the window in the tent through one of the intake slots. If you then close of or reduce the other vents (in the tent) then you should draw outside air directly into the tent. That should go a long way to lower your temps.

If you were to have that "fake window box " built it would probably work or like duc said try and run a Intake over to the window , close off some other intakes so the intake you just ran over to the window "pulls" harder. And then try and close off the room everything's in. Air takes the path of least resistance , so say by closing your door to your room and putting a towel under the door, or sealing around the molding with tape or something would seal that room and make the fan pull cool air because that's the only air it has to pull from .

Ya putting a weather rubber strip under the door should cause a suction under the door, forcing the air to be intaked through your window. Also put a cardboard cut out with tape, over your A/C Duct Hole.

I wouldn't make it too tight in there Chaz. Keep in mind that your intake should be three times the area of your exhast. Just like an engine, a big exhaust with a tiny intake won't perform like it could...

Hmm, that's a good idea. I would just have to figure out how to add another duct to the window. I have one of those windows that opens to the side and not up and down. So how it is now, the window is open just enough for the double fan to fit in. Their are 2 fans in the window. The fan is blowing outside, and each tent hooks to one of the fan out takes. And I'll get that door sealed ASAP.

Ya I get the idea, it's just a matter of getting another duct to that window is going to be tough because of space. I'll def seal the door, but have to find a way out to bring cool air from outside into the one 4x4 tent.

Yup, I will get the door sealed, but what does this mean "Put a carboard cut out with tape, over your A/C duct hole"?

Okay. Once I figure a way out how to do it I'll make sure I don't over due closing off the intakes.

    aren't you glad you stayed

buckets look good, the screens are great, I use them, make sure you zip tie them down....the wife has a habit of weaving them and it is a royal pain in the ass to trim if done this way.

Let them come through the screen and then tie to the top of the screen, trust me on this one

I, and I'm sure everyone else, am glad you calmed down and decided to stay. I think/see that you're doing rather well for being pretty green yet. In no time, you'll be giving alot of us good advice. I'll answer your pm's ASAP, but I'm no expert. I do what I do and am happy.

Ya, I really didn't want to leave just because some people decided to be dicks, but hey that shit is in the past, let's leave it there. Thanks about the buckets, they were pretty easy to make and seem like they are going to work very well. Damn I wish you would have told me about the zip tie thing a while back because all I have been doing is weaving the main cola's all the way to the outside of the SCROG. I'll post a pic here in a minute and tell me if there is anything you would recommend at this point. I'm not to sure how long the plants strech, but I think it might be over, or atleast damn near close. If I didn't SCROG these plants they would have been 4ft+ tall by now. Thank god.. Now I have a nice even canopy, for the most part. I just got to get this heat bullshit out of the way. I want to run my light on 100% soooo bad, but it gets in the 90's when I do. I mean shouldn't a 440CFM fan be able to keep a 4x4 tent cool with a 1K on 100%? I thought it would. Might just have to deal with it until I can afford a better fan or get a little portable AC that doesn't need ducted.

Cool bud. Thanks alot. And eat my balls about the crybaby! xD J/K.

See I thought I was done SCROG'ing once the stretch was over? Here's a pic of the canopy 2 minutes ago. The first pic is the blue dream. Those heads you see at the very outsides are really the main colas of the plant, I just SCROG'ed them out that far, I was able to do that with all the plants except the Critical Jack, she is a very un-SCROG'able plant. She just doesn't like it, she's to bushy and is getting no light cause I can't spread her out any more. I've been taking a few shade leaves off here and there to open some light to the bottom shoots. I guess I fucked up SCROG'ing when I went into flower, I should have done it all in veg. Oh well another good learning fuck up.

IMO, trim out some of the undergrowth, it won't get any light but will make fluffy airy shit and take away from your main colas.

Dont go all stupid about it though, but lower shit beneath the canopy that's not getting light now prob can go, if it's not receiving light now it will only get worse as the buds form.

BTW, I think my wife tried to warn you with the screen :)

Also make sure you get good air flow in that back corner, you have a recipe for mold with no air flow specially in the corner, can't tell from pictures but I see the fan just make sure you have solid movement because you won't be able to pull plants out to check for mold so do everything in your power to prevent it so it doesn't ruin your crop

Your telling me I can trim undergrowth during the 3rd week of flower? I always thought that was a no-no. I only need to do it to the Critical Jack though, so wtf, I'll give it a shoot. The Critical Jack is so compact and has insanly short internode space.

Ya I just ordered 4 more of those white fans you saw in the vid. The work very well, they clip right onto the tent and are very adjustable. I current have two in the 4x4 blowing across the canopy from opposite directions. Once the new ones get here I'll have one in each corner.

Auto Cheese went into flush today. The seedlings are currently 10 days old and will be transplanted into their 5 gallon buckets soon as the Cheese is done. The Cheese put on alot a weight. I can say I'm def gonna get an oz of her. I wanted to take pics on flush day to see how much she fattens up before she gets chopped.

You can trim off that in week 3, you should have done after week one if scrogging or when ever they stop streching (each strain is different).

Don't go overboard...start at the bottom and take a little off at a time and make sure you know what you are clipping!!! you just want to take off the small little bud sites that will not receive light, don't go chopping your plants all up. The plant in front on the right is what I'm talking about, you may have others as well.

Don't go overboard but learning small things like this will help you in the long run.

Less is more, but if it isn't seeing the light of day, prob never will and it will take some energy from the larger bud sites up top.

Ya, I know I should have SCROG'ed during veg a filled the screen before flipping to flower, but I'm mainly doing it just so I can keep an even canopy level. The one in the front right corner is the Pineapple Express, and it's doing great with the SCROG, the bitch in the left back corner is the troublesome little whore, she just wants to stay so compact and tight and doesn't want to spread out. I'll do what you suggested a take a little off hear and there. I'll keep your advice in the back of my head while doing this.

So I did it nippie. It was a hard battle but I prevaled! I trimed some of the undergrowth shoots that had no chance of making it above the SCROG. I was surprised to see there were alot of shoots right under the SCROG not getting light. I was able to pull at least 7-10 shoots up and weave them through so now their on the top of the canopy getting direct light. Overall went well. Might stress her for a few days, but they been drinking water by the gallons, daily... Before and after shot.
