Rather than trying to rationalize what you want to be, reread the caveat on foxtail.

Chaz....you seem to be intent on finding why guys who have been growing and studying this plant for years are somehow wrong in their advice. Can't help you there but repeating what has already been said is really tedious.

I know what you are saying, but I don't think you understand what I am saying.


You don't know if he's having a bad day, or just busting your balls because you're new, teasing you in good nature because that's just his personality....but you do know that he's offering to help, however rude his advice maybe wrapped in.


I can say there's a couple people here that have rubbed me the wrong way (which is totally an understatement) that now I talk to and am friendly with. Hell even some of the people I am on really good terms spat with me from time to time on certain subjects just because we don't see eye to eye on that subject.


Point is as Res pointed out, sometimes it seems that someone offers you solid advice based on their experience but you try to find a reason they would be wrong and not take the advice. That does upset some people, because if they weren't interested and trying to help you, they wouldn't even post on your thread....if they did and were just flaming or being an outright dick, the mods or Admin would handle the issue.


Have you thought that maybe Lvs just got upset because he offered you advice numerous times that you followed, but only after you tried to prove that he or others were wrong in the advice given?


We all are NOT RR, or MrG, we all have different personalities, some just naturally clash...like say CC with everyone, :roffl:, but when CC tells you something, you can take that shit to the bank as is the case with Lvs.


I'm guessing you never served in the military, or went to a large college because it seems that you aren't confident enough to handle someone busting balls or being a dick. Not that there's anything wrong with a personality type such as that, but you would do yourself a favor in life to learn how to deal with personalities or issues like this...not just on a pot forum, but in real life.


Some people that you feel have abrasive personalities may have the answers you want to the questions you have, but you'll never know if you block people like that out, or refuse to hear their opinion in it's entirety.


But back to the foxtails, haven't watched your video yet but most people can tell you High Times is more political than educational...not political as in politics, but more of this person knows this person so his products get a better slot in the magazine, etc etc. I would take most of what they say with a grain of salt as they are selling a product, not trying to teach you. Big difference, it like going to a Ford dealership and asking what's the best midsize car...bet you a dollar it would be a Ford

 

watched/skimmed the video...the headband seems to be only foxtails that I saw, looked up the strain and it was based on kushs...which I would be worried about if I saw it foxtailing in my garden.


I would be interested on how much they paid hightimes to be part of that video. You did notice the names of the dispens that grew the 'meds'? Advertising my man, advertising.

 

how long is the flowering period?


sometimes you can snip the foxtail off without doing harm, you can't do that if will overly stress the plant or there are many many foxtails


are these the RDWC plants?

 

Dig a little further and you'll find there's a desirable Headband pheno that is Sat dominant. Never grown it myself...just reading.


Chaz- anything that gets the temps lower helps.

 

Sat Dom would explain the foxtail, but I still don't think this is Chaz's case.


I had some chocolate rain do that about a month ago and still don't know where I went wrong. It wasn't heat, but it was stress for sure, because I still have the same pheno in my garden and it's not foxtailing....and when I say it foxtailed, the some of a bitch looked like a straw broom or some wheat or something...that bad.
