Daym dude, you ever find that caps lock button yet? I think its under yer desk ;)

the perlite is fine...if anything- add more to the top of the container. its not hurting anything!

i have to agree. i guess you could have too much, but it would have to be a lot. then it would just be a matter of draining too fast. fox farm perlite is HUGE. nothing wrong with that.

Fox Farm's Big and Chunky Perlite features extra large particles, which maximize nutrient uptake and oxygenation at the root level and won't fall through net cups.. Indoor gardeners can enjoy growing in light airy perlite without the mess. Big and Chunky Perlite is well suited as a stand alone medium for top feed drip emitters or a mix in element for customized soil or soiless mix.

There is nothing wrong with the large size perlite...i use the medium size, but it's a matter of preference really...I may try the bigger perlite , maybe more aeration ..you problem was pH wasn't it??or they need a shot of ferts maybe

the problem i see with the soil they are growing in is that the mixture doesnt appear to be right.. if you have that much perlite floating to the top then you might have too much in your mixture. if the plants are growing in a medium of too much perlite then there wont be enough availible soil for your plant to get its nutrients from..

take it for what it is boys.

I had the same problem with my 11 clones earlier this year , those girl need to be under a humidity dome , let the dirt dry out a bit and just use a dropper and drop a few drops of water around the stems just enough to keep it alive, keep the humidity up spray the leaves with warm water and cover them up for a week or so and the leaves will darken up and start the growth . Practice makes perfect, Ph doesnt effect them too bad unless your water is unholy , i used tap water straight out the tap with great results, 2 inch clone is now 7 foot thats proof

the ph was 8, i think this was the problem, i lowered it and the bad effects are reversing,

acom, the plants dont necisarily get their nutrients from the soil, its the water that you use that contains the nutes

ne ways thanks everyone for the help on the subject
