What a difference the h2o2 makes. I think you will find a lot of the problems they have had will be gone now. Roots are looking good! :thumbs-up:
Yeah, I've Been seeing a lot of that brown in the tables. Not much in the buckets. So I've started to go a little heavier on the H2O2 in the res and add a little mid-week for good measure. The recommended amount on the bottle seemed like a lot, but if that's what it takes to kill the shit. Be Cool, CG
Glad you are tracking!:thumbs-up: The recommended amount on the bottle of h202 is 3 ml per gallon. You started aerating with an airstone at the same time you started using 3% h202 so hard to tell which made the diff. Don't chalk it all up to the 3% h202. I don't believe that it does anything at all at those levels. I use 60 ML of 28% h202 in a 20 gallon res and still have scuzz on the sides of my submerged hoses and res sides in a few weeks. Also I should say that I have run out of peroxide and not used it for months at a time with no noticeable issues, but my res temps are mid 60-65 to far, so that helps too. I add it as a preventive precaution, following the UF. BTW trying to cool a res with frozen bottles never worked for me at all. I did a thread on a DIY res chiller for $60 or something, using a dehumidifier. :bong-2:
Yeah FF, it's hard to know, but I know last time I didn't use either and didn't have this issue. I clean my res weekly, I notice some shit in there but never slime
