I went in on an indoor with this kid like a year a half ago, he jacked me for tons of shit. all my moms, very nice strains i might add. My 1000 watt lumatek, bulb and hood. and a few other things, just goes to show you how little you can really trust some people.


the way i look at it, you need to reduce the size of your circle of trust. I have been making my circle smaller for like 6 months now, and life is getting better. the more people you let into your life, the more people you have that can burn you. imo.

Danm, Stynk! that sucks my man. I guess you will just have to decide what's best for you, but you have skills as a grower man and at the very least I would say take a break, but not all out quit. Get things situated and do what Kron says and make your circle smaller. Go into your next venture alone without any "patients" that can screw you.


I have a partner as well. A Partner though. We split everything 50/50. He provided the startup cost and equipment, I provided the place and the growing knowledge and we plan to split everything down the middle. I have also been working in other fields with my partner for many years and I trust him. I know his kids and wife and we spend time hanging out. We are partners but also friends. You have to be very, very careful whom you associate with in business, any business, not just cultivation of medical marijuana. Good luck in the future my friend. Hey, thanks for the kind words guys. I did some reflecting over the weekend independently from the computer and came to the same conclusion. Most of my friends are lazy, greedy little kids. The circle of trust is getting turned into a line. The medicine turned out EXCELLENTLY, and I should have enough extra to afford lighting and whatnot. I really liked my last grow, and I'm going to get that strain back too.


I've been thinking about doing something very different for this next grow. Do you guys think I'd have enough plant space if I had 3 vertical 600w lights in my closet in cooltubes? I did my math, and it looks like I'd at most get about 2 horizontal feet per plant (2 plants), unfortunately. I was thinking 4-6 400w lights would be better. any ideas?

I personally think 6 lights in that cab would far outweigh production wise 3 vertical cooltubes. There wouldn't be any room for those colas to hide! asssit:

New grow plans for more yield with less space:


While I'm restarting, I'm doing soil. when I can afford to make an RDWC system and operate it the way I want to (RO filter, constant monitoring PH/EC pen) I'll switch over.


Basically, I can flower 2 plants at a time and veg 3. I felt inspired by Heath's growthreads on ICmag. Thanks Chris... those were visionary.


So now, I need to basically find a way to clean up my room and get it as stealthy, as safe, as low of a plant count and as high of a production amount as I possibly can. I think heath's 2 plant 3k watt 2 plant undercurrent grow (Black Rose grow) or his 900w grow is close to what I want to do, but I have about 1-3 less feet in either direction to work with than he does.


I was thinking of arranging them in this pattern in order to get more space. I can cool them all effectively, and they're all going to be in vertically oriented cool tubes.


4x8 box


0 = plant


X = 400w HPS (reflectors left in)


Y = 400w CMH

Another option:

X = 600w HPS (not sure if I should leave the reflectors in or out)

X = 600w HPS/400w MH dual spectrum bulb (1000w HPS ballast) - MORNING SIDE HUNG VERTICALLY


Y = 1000w HPS HUNG HORIZONTALLY OVER THE 2 PLANTS (could also do 1 600w HPS per plant, but that might be less efficient.)


Z = 1000w HPS - EVENING SIDE HUNG VERTICALLY

(leaves over 3 feet of horizontal space per plant)


with this one I'd leave the center one on all the time, and have The ones on the side come on for 6 hours at a time each... one side morning, one side evening.


What do you guys think of these ideas? I'm tending toward the third, but may try the first. I think the third is a more cost effective investment plan as well, since I'll be able to use that equipment if I expand much more readily than I can use 400w lights (and I can also just switch back to 2k watts horizontally if I don't like the 3k setup with no extra cost).

 

I would go with option 1. But reverse it. 5 plants, 2 lights. Use 600 watters. Think "V-Scrog".

 

Like in the FAQ, the one where a dude tied all the budsites to the edges of a big tomato cage?


Your suggestion does seem by far the most efficient... I could probably grow illegally like that without any real concerns power wise or in terms of circulation. I'd have incredibly uneven lighting intensity though. I guess I'll have to just try it out and see what happens! Thanks Useless!
