Over thinking and over planning are two different things.


Yall know I think the internet is one of the safest ways to communicate and plan legally, but I have no doubt that it will be be picked up on, despite whether or not it is for observational or nefarious reasons.


I am just saying, cover our asses, much like the Rainbow Family has done, before we start meeting up with reasons to be arrested, initially stated or not.


It doesn't hurt to plan for the worst and expect the best.

I'd love to meet anyone and everyone. I don't care if they be noob or veteran. I'm in a different situation than most, but I will willing open my house, yard, wallet and heart to whatever we decide on doing.

Come on NC, you know how it would be if we tried to hold this shit in Chapel Hill or Durham. Though those places are cool in general with weed, 10-20 people is more than mere party LEGALLY, more so when weed is involved. Even Boone would crack down on that type of shit. Same in other states.


Even the Rainbow peeps have a WEBSITE and an ORGANIZATION so to avoid any trouble, and they are into way more drugs than most of us. I am not saying it would be a problem, but why not cover your ass from the start to avoid problems?





We are willing to contribute all around wherever, but think this through people. This is why we have not done it before, no forethought.

We need to be prepared and i think that only select mebers should be able to attend. PPl that have shown many grows, that have been around for years and things like that. Well, as i mentioned before, i'm game for anything i can do to make this happen! As an east coast-er, i gave my personal email to Mermaid so that we can "car pool" and i can help in any planning of the event! I'm totally down for a cross-country ride! WOOHOO!

i just felt like i was back at work (retired electrical engineer) and we would go round and round with meetings to schedule meetings before we would go ahead with a project.....


i like the idea of having it on east coast...r there going to be more from east coast going west or will most peeps b from west coast....

Well, I am in a very suck ass situation . . . I am already committed to go to the 2010 Seattle HempFest, and it's the EXACT same weekend as the THCFestival . . .


I already have the rental car and promised others that I'd be attending.


As for the THCFestival, I always wanted to go, but it happens to fall on a bad weekend.


I'm thinking right now, it'll be Seattle, but if plans change, I'll definitely be in Alma, on the weekend of the 20-22 of August 2010.


I can still help organize anything you need from this end, but I just want to let you know my plans as they stand right now.


I am a pothead and super-stoner, so it wouldn't be out of the ordinary for me to change my plans.


I'll keep you all updates as things progress.

 

I got locked up in my home state of Florida, in 2004, for a 1/4oz of Glass Slipper in a jar.


They weighed the jar and charged me with a felony.


After spending 3 days in Key West jail, with NO BOND, I saw the asshole Judge Monday and got a bond of $5000. After that, I was able to talk a bondsman to take my $500, 10% and bond me out.


It took another $3,000 to have that charge dropped to a misdemeanor, and be done with that BULLSHIT. They even took my drivers license in Colorado for a year, because of a fucked up law in Florida, where if your convicted of any "drug" related offense, you lose your driving privileged.


So . . . I REFUSE to go to ANY state that doesn't recognize my medical marijuana status, or is outright decriminalized or legalized, ideally.


So, that limits the places I'm willing to go. I'm NOT a criminal for growing pot and smoking pot and having pot and any state that thinks I am, can go FUCK themselves!:dog-nana:


I know Rhode Island recipicates Colorado MMJ law, as I've already spoke to the head of their MMJ registry.

I also have the same status in Montana . . .

If we can find a place where we can all be completely relaxed and not concerned with LEO hassling us, I am all for it . . . Ohhhhh yea, it's right here in Colorado.


I can openly proclaim my grow and the fact that I have "up to" 57 plants.


I can openly walk into the courthouse with weed in my pocket and not worry about being arrested . . . Colorado has very MJ friendly laws, and I'm not sure EVEN California can claim the freedom with MMJ and dispensaries, we have here in Colorado.


If California does fully legalize pot, then I might just move there.:kidding:


We'll keep an eye on things and see what happens . . .

My B-Day is in September and I don't have anything planned yet.


I have friends in Fairplay, growers too, and I have kick ass camping spots in every area we're talking about.


I would love to do a trip like this at on of my all time favorite camping spots, off to the south side of Mosquito Pass. Different Pass, but that'll give you an idea of the area.


How does the weekend of the 18th of September sound?


I do about 10+ camping trips a year, so it would be a pleasure to organize anything we need. . . it's one of the things I do every trip.
